[not yet official] Randy Johnson traded to New York Yankees

As reported by ESPNnews and NY newsday:
    http://www.newsday.com/sports/ny-sprandy1217,0,3877851.story?coll=ny-sports-headlines

LA - Javier Vazquez, 2 minor leaguers.
ARI - Brad Penny and Shawn Green
    NYY - Big Unit.

Anybody still have the link to that Onion article, where it said the Yankees just signed everybody in MLB? Well, between them and Boston, they may just get every good player there is.

Geez. If NY gets Beltran, then we're all in trouble.

    Unit to Yanks

Does George still have enough wallet to top the Astros for Beltran?

No, that's Adrian Beltre. Beltran is still a free agent.

The Yankees will focus on Beltran now.

Not good news for the 'Stros.

The Yans now have a very good rotation with Unit, Pavono, Mussina, Wright, and El Duque/Brown.

Let's hope this is the year he finally breaks down. He is over 40.

El Duque won't be back and I think you have to consider the Dodgers contenders to try to get Beltran.

From what I have read, Beltran really wants to stay in Houston but then again he has the biggest ass in the world representing him (Boras).

It will be a matter of time before Johnson breaks down, and add to the fact that the MFYs (or as SoSH calls them now the CFYs - give you 3 guesses what the "C" stands for, hehe) gave up entirely too soon on Vasquez plus got rid of the only 2 good prospects they had in Duncan and Navarro (who is mediocre at best), this is not such bad news.

It will be bad though if the Red Sox can't get Clement and Perez or Burnett.

    Unit to join Satan's rotation.

Every off season I hate the Yankees more. They have essentially their pick of the best players every year to reload. How many $10Mil+ players can one team have? How many teams can continue to thrive with a dead contract like Giambis and $40 Mil tied down to two shortstops?

man, brian cashman and theo epstein are amazing. their ability to pluck unknown gem after unknown gem from other teams is amazing. and with such limited resources. F the yankees. thank God we don't have a cap to give everyone a level playing field.

on a positive note, randy's team will actually score runs for him this year. looks like i'll be keeping him for my fantasy team after getting so few wins for his efforts last year. if prior can bounce back like randy did last year i'll have two horses in my rotation.

we still have 20 more championships than you? oh wait, that doesn't start with C.
