As I sit here bored for lack of Rocket news my random Rocket thoughts turned to dreams and visions- Team of destiny! How in the world did we get that #1 pick? Yao Ming (is there something to destiny?) I still can't believe Tracy McGrady is a Houston Rocket! And for Steve Francis Unbelievable. Could it be that Rudy had to go so that Steve and his buds could be moved. Here is the conspiracy (I mean destiny): Rudy intensely loyal to his guys- Steve and Cuttino. Rudy has cancer (sad- we love Rudy, but you know its destiny). The timing is now, he must not return. (step one to re-make the team) First attempt get a coach who would bring the iron fist to the Franchise Cartel. Enter JVG. And by the way, I think our choices all along were between Mike Dunleavy and Jeff Van Gundy- and we got it Right (destiny?). (Brown and the others were looking elsewhere) Second attempt get the Franchise Cartel to play smart. failed (we knew it all along). Third option- Trade as much of the Cartel as possible for as much value as possible. SPLASH! You have got to be kidding- best trade in Rocket History! Now things are falling into place, Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, add a real power forward with youth, like maybe Stromile Swift... destiny. I see it now, a real point guard is coming soon, (may have to wait one year) We will contend for the Western Conf. this season... No injuries, the clutch is back and the special season is close to springing upon us all over again... no one saw it in '93... are we looking? I think we are going to get a home series in the playoffs. And a ring this season or next. Whoaaa! Wait just a minute. Too board here, must get back to reality- Deke isn't signed, Howard's health a question, Sura's back injury, Head is ????, Our depth is ????, and will TMac have to play as many minutes until he is burned down for the playoffs????
