Do you gain weight by the number of calories you consume, or by the amount of fat you consume? I have heard conflicting takes on this. My understanding on it has been that if your caloric intake exceeds your caloric usage, you will gain weight, irrespective of where your calories come from. So basically, if all you eat is 5 Snickers bars a day, you will in fact lose weight because your body needs more than 5 Snickers bars daily to function, hence you will burn the 5 Snickers bars, plus some of what you have stored. Am I correct, or is this wishful thinking?
it all boils down to calories. Fat contains more calories so eat less fat to consume less calories. If in some parallel universe fat contained low calories, then feel free to eat all the fat and lard you can. But since we live in the milky way galaxy, fat on the average contains hella calories and hella calories leads to more fat. So cut down on the fat, and cut down on calories in general if you're trying to lose weight. Or you can just throw up after every meal looking at naked pictures of john goodman. As for the snickers bars, ur body would probably detoriate to a poorer version of an ethipoian child. You would probably survive a month or 2 before you developed diabetes and ur teeth rotted out of ur skull, but that could be a good look for you. You should post pictures of yourself on ur snickers only diet.
You are correct. Wasn't there a story about a woman who only ate hamburgers and french fries, but she kept the calories low so she lost lots of weight?
and here i thought you were an intellgent kid... first you fill the car with bad gas, and now this... haha as was stated before, it's all calories. there was a woman (as mentioned above) that did an Anti Super Size me movie where she lost weight by eating less than 2k calories at Mickey Ds. You do have to worry about nutrition as well though. you're not going to feel good eating 5 snickers bars.
I would think you know me well enough to know that 5 Snickers bars is just the tip of the iceburg I probably had a good pound of fajitas for lunch. You gotta love eating on the company's dollar. (By the way, I am well on my way back to HS weight; already up to about 185). I need to watch it before I blow up.
Caloric intake determines general weight loss or gain. But it is the macronutrient ratios which determine what you put on or lose. If you ate snickers bars, you might lose weight but it would have a significant proportion of lean muscle mass in that weight loss. Simlarly, if you are trying to bulk up you can't just eat fat because you will gain largely fat. Are you honestly trying to lose fat by eating a low-caloric diet of fat and sugar? Bad idea.
Oh I am not. I was just curious. I do need to lose weight (I am starting to get a little pudgy and i put on bad weight very easily), but not like this. Obviously Snickers bars are not good for you, weight issues aside. The last thing I want to be is a 150 lb diabetic.
