That's horrible. It would be like remaking Big Trouble in Little China. The period 80's cheese IS the movie. Either you take it out and it sucks, or you try and copy it, and it feels all wrong. This looks like that turrible remake of Total Recall with Colin Farrell.

It's definitely going to be a random disaster.

That's amazing. Those guys are ****ing nuts.

"I was there with Lars, Bodhi, The Beach Boys, Keanu, Spicoli and the rest of the crew, you know, my best friends, I caught a every wave, probably the fifth biggest waves I've surfed, caught the first and last one of the day, it was pretty good."

Probably the wrong thread but whatever
Just saw my neighbor (across the street, three houses the other way) lose his house to a fire. :(

Fire trucks for blocks. (at least 8)

Watching a house fire up close is terrifying. It happened twice on my street growing up. One was a total loss, the other was just the second story although the whole house got smoke and water damage.

7.8 in Turkey. They're already calling for international help. Multiple pancaked buildings.

Be wary when on Twitter and only use trusted sources. Lots of fake stuff already appearing and lots of clips from previous disasters getting posted as being from the Turkey earthquake.

(Why do people do that? Makes the job of response much, much tougher. You have to spend time knocking down rumors and investigating fake info. It 's becoming more and more prevalent each year. Just sad.)

Current death toll in the Turkey/Syria quake is over 600 and estimates say it could go well into the thousands. :(

Another 7.7 has hit the same area at about the same 10 km depth... 2 powerful shallow quakes and all the aftershocks... That entire region is going to be leveled.
