It's rained every f***ing day since I moved here last Monday. My theory: Everytime Richard Justice flip-flops, God makes it rain in Houston.
Good theory. That would certainly explain the frequency. My street is flooded. It drains quickly, though, IF IT EVER STOPS RAINING. (I'm in Spring Branch.)
me too, for the most part. this is how i remember summers growing up. seemed like it rained at least once a day during the summer. then we went through about a period where it didn't do that. this summer and last are more like what i remember. what you'd expect from a tropical climate.
Hell no. That would cut into my drinking time. I'd gladly take a morning to afternoon storm to cut the heat, though.
i love it - barton creek here in austin is a raging river - ive been tubin' it about 2-3 times a week for the last month or so. it is easily the most fun i have ever had on the creek. its been pretty much dry the last 2 summers so this is a nice change - in my 12 years in austin i dont ever remember the creek being this full for such an extended period of time. usually, after a week or so it goes back down, but the constant rain has kept it consistently full. my dog has been loving it too! i hope it rains all summer!
I think I jinxed us when I left my trip from Hong Kong/India. The day we left India it rained for the first time of our entire trip. The rain even waited until we were in the van on the way to the airport before it started. I turned to my wife and said, "We will never have weather this great again." And we haven't. It has rained almost every week since f**king January. Dear God, please make it stop raining.
one day there will be a weather machine that will control all of this. i hate mowing the lawn every week. The good thing is I don't have to scoop up the dog poop. it all washes away...well kind of.
Y'all should send some of that rain up my way. We've had a drought for most of this year here in the upper Midwest and have already had about 10 days with the temp over 90. It usually averages about 7 days. My lawn is pretty brown and could use a few good soakings.
This was just marketing for Evan Almighty. Spending $200,000,000 on a comedy is bad, but doing this to various American cities is ridiculous.
