All you Rafer apologists really need to explain the new Rafer quotes to me in light of all the beating Mike James took for last 2 years. Mike James the selfish ball hog...Rafer the team player... you all kept crying. Rafer sacrificing and accepting lesser role for the team?? Let's look into it....

"It's a logjam," Alston said. "I've been a starter there for two years [as a pet under Gundy]. We've picked up three point guards (Francis, Mike James and rookie Aaron Brooks) [that can actually play]this summer. Obviously, they're trying to address that need [to have a PG who can make wide open shots and not blow away easy layups] and go in another direction [like winning, for example].

"You can never get mad [How could I after being left as a starter despite contributing heavily towards Donate-a-Brick for Castle Neuschwanstein right here in Houston] because a team decides to improve [and obviously I leave a lot of room for improvement]. It will be tough for myself and John and all of us that are point guards [but don't deserve to be where we are at]to see much playing time [especially since the only coach in the league who would keep me as a starter despite of who I am, is gone]. I want the best thing for both [and having me as a starting PG on a team aspiring to win a championship is definitely not the best for them]. If me being starter and closer is the best thing [*laughing my sugar coated Gundy @ss off*] and what Rick (Adelman) and Daryl Morey want, great [I will be more than happy to contribute towards misery. ***** the team]. If that's not what they want [Seriously, playoffs are overrated anyways], if they see something better [like the rest of the PGs out there in the league], I hope they would do something that is also good for me[like buy me a new Tshirt and reunite me with the only nut case that would play me heavy minutes on a contender]."

["Good luck with that Selfish ballhog Mike James. You guys could have had a really unselfish player like me... one who only asks to being a guaranteed starter and closer on a team with clearly better options. No I am not whining. That would be Mike James on Timberwolves."]

Oh yeah... these dumbass misinterpretation of Rafer's comments, which had been posted before in another thread, deserves its own thread because you need more attention.

And these are the same comments as:

    That's really mean man.

I hated David Wesley too. I don't like Luther. And I absolutely have no qualms with Rafer being expendable.

But man... I think Rafer really took it deep. I don't wanna kick him while he's down.

Zboy missed Juwan Howard. He needs a new pet to bash up. Poor Rafer.

This is a dream off-season for me.

3 way cancer of gundy-Jho-Rafer is damn close to being eliminated. The Rockets were going to improve simply by those subtractions. The fact that they are continually adding talent is just gravy....

    Right now gravy is overflowing.

After titling a threat "Jamesitis," now you are b****ing that a Mike James video showing what Jamesitis really looks like is brought up for reference?

I am not b****ing at all. I am amused.

How do you defend Rafer? By attacking Mike James. Notice I never said James isnt selfish. Rafer apologists like you continue to insist how unselfish Rafer is, however.

Rafer's the polar opposite of Mike.

Rafer blows shots, but humble and nice enough to credit it. On the other hand, Mike's stoneskinned to criticism, but makes his shots.

I am still trying to figure out when was the last time humility without the ability to make shots won playoff games.

I can think of plenty of instances where cocky attitude with the ability to make shots won playoff games.

So where are Rockets priorities? They are finally getting it right....

Starter and closer for an NBA contender? LOL. Rafer is getting delusional.

Wow. You just took your time to insert your unfunny anecdotes into that article to make it appear as though Rafer is whining? Now, I'm assuming he was asked a question and responded by basically saying, "Yes we're stocked at the 1, so it seems like they want something else. If they want me, I'm here. If not, I hope they treat me right." And after reading through all the added bullsh*t, I conclude that you have issues. :)
