Through 57 games rafer has 132 tre-balls. The record is held by mad-max for threes in a season with 172. Can he make it to 172? It looks good so far.
    Go Rafer!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;]

Wouldnt it be fantastic if we could magically replace Rafer with Calderon?

There's that other Spanish kid Navarro who played well for the Spanish Team. He would be a good acquisition in the future.

WOW out of all the people in the Rockets franchise and the fact that the team has always played 3 ball I never think of Rafer being the player on pace to break Vernons record

Furthur proof that you can make the stats say whatever you like!

I am curious as to how close the entire team is to total 3 pointers made in a season too. They shoot a ton! I will have to see if I can find it in the stats sections.

37% isn't a bad clip to shoot 3s at though. Over 40% is awesome. 37% is average, I'll take average if he can bring other things to the table. And I think the quantity of 3s he takes are what drive his regular FG% down.

No I would say that is pretty accurate except Rafer is the better long range shooter, oh and BTW Vernon Maxwell was our STARTING SG on a championship team with those stats. If you go back and look at the stats, Kenny Smith had the best percentage by far = Luther Head, Vernon Maxwell = Rafer Alston. Now I know Vernon was a solid role player in our first championship run and I am not trying to downplay his importance especially on the defensive end. I am still amazed that people expect our PG to be one of the best shooters in the league. Once Yao gets back Rafer WILL NOT shoot as much, I promise. At least I hope he hears me. :)

    Vernon Maxwell stats
    Year FG 3PT FT PTS
    92-93 .407 .332 .71.9 13.8
    93-94 .389 .298 .749 13.6

Well do you think 37% is acceptable with type of looks hes getting? I mean Tmac is making the game easier for him but he can only shoot at 37%? Luther recieves the same looks from Tmac and look at his percentage. Luther is almost contributing the same as Rafer with less minutes and shot attempts playing with Tmac. Imagine if he got Rafers minutes.
