According to Fran Blinebury in his live blog, Rafer Alston tweaked his hamstring:

    http://blogs.chron.com/franblinebury/2008/12/live_blog_rockets_vs_clippers_3.html

As bad of a shooter as Alston is, when Brooks is shooting bad like tonight against the Clippers, I'll go with Alston. Brooks just doesn't run the offense as good as Alston does.

If Brooks isn't scoring then ... "Houston, we have a problem."

We all saw how important Rafer was to the Rockets from last year's playoffs. Brooks can not run this offense.

If Rafer's out for any significant period of time, your Francis lovers may get your wish to see Steve play again.

Was it is his right hamstring? That's what troubled him last season. If he's still the Rockets starting PG this could be a problem. Hammy injuries tend to re-occur and at his age more frequently.

Brooks played like he was 6'9  . That is not wise.

I agree with you on this one. At least, tonight I'll choose Rafer. Bad that he's injured.

    Ron...down
    T-mac...60%?
    Shane...75%?
Yao...90%(the only one ok with me)
    Barry...down
    Rafer....down
    ........
=starting lineup is in a circus zoo

we have 2 days off I'm sure he is going to be ready for denver. he just needs to get treatment done when the team gets back to Toyota Center. Keith Jones needs to work his magic. He has been a very busy trainer this year..and last year..and the year before that and so on and so on

Work his magic? Uh oh....Rafer might be out for the season then. Hopefully the Doctors won't announce that what they thought was a tweaked hamstring was actually bone debri building in the knee and that he'll have to have surgery and then play through it to strengthen it back up
