This isn't a "slump" Rafer isnt a "streak shooter" The guy is simply a severe offensive zero as a scorer/shooter. He's simply trash. Probably the worst starting player in today's NBA.

What the **** was he doing today? His shots made no sense. He needs to quit taking floaters. He drives to the basket, sees he cant make it, and throws up a floater. Tmac dishes the ball if he cant make it. The spot up shot is stupid too by rafer. But worst off is that he doesnt care. HE will keep shootin cause he is JVG's new Ryan Bowen. No one can touch him.
As evidenced by his continiually attempting shots he has little chance of making (tear drops/floaters/runners) and by commitin 2 fouls tonight on three point shots. Yeah, VERY high basketball IQ.
You all see the game when Alston is on the bench. Head cant run a single play properly. When he fakes it and drives it, he gets blocked. JL3 is a scrub who deserves only 5-10 minutes a game. Tmac can not run the point and then also be the primary scorer. Alston is the best we have, and a very good option regardless of his shot. Every time Alston sits on the bench our lead dwindles down, and then Alston is called back in, and usually he has to step up and take that shot because no one else is open. Yes the 2 3's in overtime were bogus. But T-Mac wasn't exactly being a superstar and driving it in. he was jacking up uncalled for jumpshots. So we lost a few games. Alston may not be the best pointgaurd in the league, but he is the best we have. And the best we can get without a VERY lopsided trade. Deal with it.
Let Alston play but the point is he doesnt deserve to shoot. Especially in the clutch. When your shots dont go in, you shouldnt try to shot the ball period. Not unless you have something easy.
You know, Alston will be Rox's best PG for next 15 years if they choose not to upgrade that position and not develop their young players.
He only misses 90 percent of his tear drop shots. Thats not to bad for the wnba. Actually he would not survive in the Wnba either. He is trash. The guy thinks he is tony parker and shoots like 10 teardrop shots a game. (makes only 1 of them). Very Dumb.
some people are so content with some of our players but they still whine when we lose the games. lets get some of the facts straight. reality check. 38% for our starter pg which consists of 100 unsuccessful teardrops aint going to cut it. vpsan is not a spot up 2 guard. so dont cry when he misses 3pters. luther is not a pg..he has no ball handling skills. hayes is undersized. deke is 40+. what does this all mean? it means we need a new starting pg, a backup pf or pf/c before we can go anywhere. BUT if ur goal is to get into the playoffs and get our asses whooped by dallas or phoenix then we are doing great. [/end rant]

rafer alston REALLY sux....he is a huge part of the reason we have lost many of the games we have! his shooting is terrible, yet for some reason he seems to think he should be the second option when yao is out. his performance tonight 5-18 was not unusual.....how long is jvg's stubborn a$$ gonna stick with him. both j-ho and shane shot 50% or better yet had a fraction of rafers shots (shane 9 and j-ho 13 i think). this guy has almost single handedly lost us some games this season.......i dont care what is done, but it starts with rafer on the bench!!!!!!!
