After W over Cleveland Rafer gave interesting qoute which I'm not trying to get out of real meaning.

"I have some unbelievable teammates because they understood that I was in a rhythm," said Alston, who made six three-pointers. "We have two superstars who draw so much attention that I was wide open. In years past, I have been inconsistent. Right now, I am knocking them down consistently during this stretch of wins and if I continue to do that, I'll give this team a big boost."

I surely hope he continues this streak of good games, there's a beep over the Rockets lately, media is seeing that they're making a good run.

Btw, does anyone know what is a team record in wins in a row?

I believe that it is 15-wins a row.

He has been very consistant as of late....A couple of months ago I'd see him shoot the ball and I'd expect a clank. Now I expect the ball to go in and his shooting is making a big different right now.

I'm glad he realized the pain he's caused us in previous years and is trying to make amends.

Next up? I can't wait till the days when Chuck will say "In years past, I've bee sucking at shooting and FT"

Rafer is going to be the best shape of his career.

Actually lets hope he's not peaking yet. I still wanna see some big improvements in his game.

Btw, if or WHEN we win a championship.. will people here immortalize Rafer like they did with Cassell? I wonder if 10 years down the line tinman will defend Rafer like he does with the other Rockets legends, when we win the trophy.

But if you win a championship you're automaticly a better player, no doubt.

You got to the top as a starter, you're a legend. :D

I like what Rafer is doing. But he has yet to consistently do similar damage against elite guards. Before we met the New Orleans Hornets in January, he was also playing well. And then he met Chris Paul and couldn't hit the side of a barn.

I have to say though, he is really playing with a lot of confidence and assertiveness. He took the reigns of the team in that third quarter of that Sacramento game and did it again last night. I hope that on Friday when he meets Chris Paul again, his good play continues.

He's gonna kick ass. I have faith. Don't let me down Rafe!

He's not gonna stop Paul, not many people can, but I'm hoping Rafer will answer back in offense. Maybe neutralize him that way.

And then he stunk it up in the 4th. I appreciate Rafer's performance last night but let's be real his statement shouldn't have been in years past. It should have been in games past. He needs a much longer stretch before he can be the self proclaimed boost for the team. In past he has hurt them almost as often. I will say his level of play as of late is enough from our point guard to do some damage in the playoffs. Let's see if he can maintain till then and keep it going when it really counts. Do that and you will have made a believer out of me.

I still hold my breath when he shoots the ball. I consider it a bonus if he hits a wide open jumper. I have always figured it was the same as a TO when he shot the ball.

I don't think he will ever be a consistent scorer or shooter but I think he is more relaxed under Adelman.

I strongly believed Rafer is currently practising hard on his shooting. That statement proved that he said he is now training hard to put shots in consistently. He has a great attitude to improve himself. That's why everyone was surprised when he checked in to the training during pre-season in great shape and out performed MJ, Francis and AB.

Good, if Rafer can keep it up, then we will go far. His passing is pretty good and if he can drive and finish, then even better.

    Fixed.
I'm taking a risk with the dated Miss Teen South Carolina answer, but I figured it was worth it.

Rafer has peaked. It's not like he is a young rookie or 3rd year player. This is as good as he gets.

    Rafer is our X factor
Our team wins when he plays decent to well, but if he strugges, it's VERY hard for us to come by a win

Is it a contract year for him? ;)

Perhaps its also that he (and the rest of the team) realizes that we do NOT have to rely on Yao/TMac for all of our offense & that if others can contribute, the *TEAM* succeeds?

Please don't ever do that again.
