Anyone remember this guy? He died in Cy-Fair hospital. I saw a piece on him a few months back about his adopted children as I recall. Seemed like a great guy. 63 is too young to die. http://www.sportsterminal.com/sports/news.asp?news_id=28747&back_url=/
Wow, I did to. Used to watch on Friday nights with my grandmother, and she'd yell at the tv. Paul Boesch used to jog in my folks neighborhood. RIP, Wahoo.
I used to watch him on Houston Wrestling as well. His battles with Johnny Valentine were epic. R.I.P.
Man, Wahoo McDaniel. Back when RASSLIN' was RASSLIN' and not one big comical T&A festival. kidrock8 No, Wahoo didn't invent the hold.
I remember Pepper Gomez. He was always the "Good Guy". Granny loved him. Did I get the last name wrong? I'm thinking of when I was a kid, and that was a looong time ago. A great Rasslin' guy!
I know of Pepper Martin the baseball player, but I don't recall the RASSLER. I've heard of Pepper Gomez the RASSLER though.
I must be mistaken. It was Pepper Somebody; I just remember the Pepper part. I don't remember Gomez and I'm not sure why Martin came to mind.
He played 3rd base for the 1934 St. Louis Cardinals (baseball) team. Also known as the Gas House Gang.
I was just thinking : it's incredible that Wahoo was only 63 years old. He looked about 60 when I watched him RASSLE about 20 years ago.
