Emmy-winning comedian and game show host Louie Anderson has died at the age of 68.

Anderson passed away in Las Vegas Friday morning after entering a hospital earlier this week for treatment of diffuse large B cell lymphoma.

Along with a long-running stand-up comedy career, Anderson also appeared in films like “Coming to America” and its sequel along with “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “The Wrong Guys,” “Cloak & Dagger,” “Sandy Wexler,” “Mr. Wrong” and “Quicksilver”.

He led the short-lived sitcom “The Louie Show,” hosted “Family Feud,” and guested on multiple sitcoms including “Grace Under Fire,” “Chicago Hope,” “Scrubs,” “Joey,” “Drunk History,” “Young Sheldon” and “Search Party”. He also created the cartoon series “Life with Louie”.

    RIP Ms Baskets.

They show a photo of Louie from Baskets then don't even mention it in his bio? Odd.

Maybe if you didn't spot him all that cash to buy Slurpees, he would still be with us! ;) Bad joke!

I'm sorry to read this. He was THE most loveable comedian there ever was or will be. His voice and persona saw to that.

I think I even have a memory or two hatched away of when he appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. I wish I could retrieve that file but I get a memory seek error.

    RIP

He was in that BIG WHITE GUY group like
    John Candy
    John Belushi
    Sam Kennison
    Ralphie May
    Chris Farley

He was very subtle and nuanced

Can we get a power rankings of who's dying instead? Like..

    Sagat
    Meat Loaf
    L. Anderson
    Betty White

People just like Betty White because she's old, white, nice and not a racist. That's the bar. Oh, you're a non-racist old white? Amazing, anointed.

Had a loose tooth, so my father tied a rope around my tooth, hooked the rope to the back of his pickup truck, and then drove at me. - Louie
