    Iwao Takamoto, designer of Scooby Doo and the gang, the Jetsons' dog Astro, the Banana Splits, Atom Ant, Dastardly and Muttley, and countless other classic Hanna Barbera TV characters, has passed away.

    Wow I had no idea scooby doo was created by a Japanese person. Shows how great Japanese artists are.

    rip hanna. sigh. :(

    jetsons, smurfs, space ghost... sigh (again). all greats. there was some cartoon where hanna barbera (sp?) characters went against each other in a competition, but i forget the name. it was the "deal or no deal" of cartoon hanna barbera cartoon characters.

    :( i miss watching cartoons on saturday mornings.
