That wasn't oeilpere that said that, was it?

Surely pops doesn't lay down the f bomb normally, but maybe he is really frustrated like the rest of us.

If this is someone in the know, then I'm wondering which of the two will be moved, or if they'll both be moved. Hmmmmm.......

    So, who was it?

My quote to all of you.
If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.
    Go Rockets!!

Gots to be Oeilpere né Popeye né whomever he is in real life. That's his writing style, and he's been busy and therefore absent from the BBS.

'T'would be interesting to lose one of these guys, considering how close Cat and Steve are. But that might be part of the problem.

It would be a big damn deal to move Da Franchise, but I wouldn't rule it out. Cat's rooted here with his family and has a longer-term deal. Steve could still bolt in a year if Cat is shipped out.

Steve's a better 2 guard than a 1. The problem is: to which team do you send him? He'd have to be sent somewhere that he'll stay and re-sign (i.e., the East: Wizards, Celtics, Sixers, maybe the Bulls, a team one great player short of the playoffs...in the East, anyway). But how do you get fair value for him?

If the team is disenfranchised with the Franchise, well, I do wonder if moving him would create too much fallout...or if Steve and management are already butting heads...or if management wants Steve to wake up and be the leader they want.

Then again, it's tough to bash someone with an inner-ear illness that affects his play.

Then again, I could be reading way too much into a made-in-frustration comment by management, as our secret (I think it's Pops) poster also surmises.

    no way is that Oeilpere.

What is the name of that guy who was giving us the clues without giving away the answer? I can't remember his name and he has a TON of posts here. It sounds like something he would post.

I hope we aren't making personnel decisions based on wardrobe choices and PETA memberships.

    1. It's good to finally be back here, even if it is just a brief run at ya'll. Hell of a home move. Even worse as I have been working like hell for seven weeks. Exhausted.

    2. New PC and new home. Strange.

    3. Haven't missed a Rockets game. Made them put it in my contract (LOL). Saw three live at the Laptop. Trying to get there tommorrow with friends.

    4. Didn't write crispee's tease quote. Wouldn't have written it even if I had the opportunity.

    5. Will try to get back in the swing of things again soon.

    6. Rockets are very tired.

    7. Rudy is not as frustrated as he sounds. He just wants the guys to keep a positive outlook and not give up at this stage of the season.

    8. Saw him a couple of nights ago, and I asked him about the year: " ... **** ... hell of a year .... not what I expected ... I was really surprised about some guys ... they are really, really tired now .... all of them ... (who was the biggest surprise, Griffin,Kenny,Cato?) yeah Kenny was great and Cato has come a long way .... the kid was a lot better than even we thought ... he's pretty cool out there isn't he ... (trades?) heh, heh, now don't you start that again ... we'll be alright ... "

    Cheers.

OP: I hope you did not see Rudy carousing -- I thought he had given that up. i hope so.

    You living in Houston again?

    CBFC

PS -- Crippi and Oppi and all -- I mean, we had alot injuries this year. But position by position, things were okay are we still sort of sucked. PG was okay. SG was okay. 3 was bad, but whats new, thats residual Chucky Karma. Kenny T did a great job at 4, and Cato was okay at 5. We just took beatings. Is it just injuries? I worry about Cuttino. Worry worry worry.

    Pops:

It's good to see you back. I was thinking about starting a thread to ask you this:

What is your insight on what the Rockets will do with the draft, i.e. who do you think they will pick or will they try to trade up or what?

    Thanks
