Man I have eaten there a few times and both times I nearly ralphed. Let me give you a taste of why they suck: Here is the menu item I purchased today in Houston, Texas: BLACK ANGUS STEAK SANDWICH ON ROSEMARY PARMESAN BREAD Black Angus top round, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, loaded with mushrooms, sautéed yellow onions, Honey Bourbon Mustard, Zesty Grille sauce and spices. Sounded pretty good I guess. I get the thing and it tastes like they sugar coated everything.... Turns out the "Zesty Grille sauce" is actually some type of sweet teryaki crap. Who the hell puts SWEET sauce on a damn steak sandwich?!?!? The price for this garbage with chips and a drink?? about $7.50..
Oh man....you dont like Quizno's??? Im addicted to their subs. Their Chicken Carbanara (sp.) rocks!! Although, they should probably offer an angioplasty with it.
Couldn't disagree more, althoug I've never gotten that particular sandwhich and never would. You probably like Schlotzky's, which makes me want to barf.
I'm a Schlotzky's fan myself. Both are overpriced but Quizno's is way over priced and I just wasn't impressed. But that's a personal decision. I guess I'm not like that guy who wore paints.
I'm a Subway man, myself. Quiznos subs are terrible. I tried their meatball sub when they first opened here -- big mistake. The bread was hard as rocks and the sauce was icky. Plus, on average, their subs cost $1-$2 more than Subway and I don't think they have a stamp program. Quiznos blows. I've never heard of Schlotzky's.
I actually like Quizno's. Eat there maybe twice a week, and the people there usually cut a dollar or two off the price for me. So that's cool.
Quizno's is awesome! Subway is good. Schlotzsky's is simply the best fast food sandwich of all time...Jason's Deli also kicks ass
The only thing I like at Quiznos is the Turkey, Guac and Bacon sub...mmmmm...and some of there soups... The other stuff kinda sucks... I love Subways Steak, Meatball and Tuna sandwiches...
1. subway...its cheap...i know it is...i have no complaints here 2. quiznos...nothing special but at least i can get a side ceasar salad 3. schlotzsky's...barf barf and then barf some more.
My wife has totally boycotted Quizno's due to their horriblbe commericals. (guys eating out of trash cans, etc.) I have only eaten there once, don't remeber it being that good. I have been diggin Schlotzsky's for the last 20 years, since I was like 14. I just dig the Schlotzsky's original YUM. Plus they were the first place around that I could find salt 'n' vinegear potato chips. Yum again! Subway is well, Subway.
For anyone who is a fan of Schlotzski's: You HAVE to try a Zero's sandwich. There are three location's downtown in Houston, and they blow away Schlotzski's. Subway is simply too bland for me. I'll eat it when I'm wanting something healthy, but never for taste. I like Quizno's a hell of a lot better than Subway, or Blimpie's, but I can't figure out their prices. Way too expensive for a damn fast food sandwich. If you can get a Zero's, it will never allow you to eat any of the other's in the same light.
I think Quizno's is great. It absolutely blows Subway out of the water. Try the Mesquite Chicken. It's awesome.
Quizno's - please put more italian dressing on my sandwich... Subway - 7 grams of fat or less? yeah, no mayo and no cheese... Schlotzsky's - Jalapeno Cheese bread rules (even though it is the bread with the most fat content) the only sandwich to really be had here in Houston is an original Antones and not from a chain Antone's either... the original on Taft!
The best sandwich I've had in quite some time is located in the cafe in the 600 Jefferson building, downtown (Houston). The place is small and hard to find, but it's worth it. For literally $3.50 I get a roast beef sandwich with more roast beef that I can eat in one sitting. I am a fairly large guy and I eat a lot. Cheap and abundant quantities -- good combo.
Anybody ever eaten at Alvin Ords? An Alvin Ords sandwich is what all other sandwiches aspire to be. Too bad I've only seen them in San Marcos and Dallas. Alvin Ords rules.
Quizno's is ok, but way too pricy for an average sandwich. If I'm gonna spend 7-8 bucks on fast food, give me Chipotle.
