might as well add it here The plan to close Guantanamo down is slowly shifting up...and hey, what do you know, allies help you when you're not pursuing illegitimate wars. http://english.aljazeera.net/news/americas/2009/08/200987175035378852.html
To be fair, they did a bit more than that. For example, Palin, today, claimed that Obama might euthanize her baby. http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/...th-panel-could-kill-my-down-syndrome-baby.php The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's "death panel" so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their "level of productivity in society," whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.
Um, a few minor corrections: 1) The White House is not even commenting on the North Korean incident, beyond the typical expression of gratitude that the journalists are freed. The entire incident was a public relations stunt, orchestrated by Kim Jong Il, to elevate his status on the global level. Bill Clinton was the stooge that had to go over there and get clowned by taking a lot of photos with the dictator. Seems to me like North Korea played us (and him) like violins. 2) Cash for Clunkers has been a shining example of how bureaucracies can mismanage programs. One week in and they are out of cash. Nice forecasting there. Can't wait to see how they do with our nation's healthcare system. 3) Hussein of Mombasa has made the CIA his enemy through his words and actions. Giving him credit for their actions is just the height of ignorance. 4) You botched the unemployment stat -- we continued to lose jobs in July -- about 250,000. The lost jobs in July was lower than in previous months, but the unemployment rate remains near a 1-year high. It's probably over 10% if they didn't count people that just dropped out of the job search process this month. The books are cooked on that number. The AA rate is around 15%. The unemployed and quit looking rate is probably close to 15% as well. You left a couple of accomplishments out: 1) The nation is descending into chaos as opposition to Hussein of Mombasa's healthcare suicide plan grows. 2) Hussein of Mombasa's poll numbers continue to crater. 3) Hussein of Mombasa and his henchmen are trampling on American voters' rights to assemble and exercise free speech. 4) Congress recessed without passing a healthcare bill. Nice work! Perhaps the best accomplishment of the week.
Pre cash for clunkers conservatives: this is a waste of money, people won't go for it, above all, in these hard times why is the government flushing what little money we have down the drain. Post cash for clunkers: the pres mismanaged the situation, he should have spent more of our money into the program, blah blah blah, more double speak, big brother nonsense... Jorge, please stop, you're making your party look bad. Honestly, if it weren't for conservatives like you, I might actually punch the red ticket more often. Now, I fear that if I do vote for a conservative he may turn out to be like TJ over here. Isn't that scary enough never to vote for a republican ever again?!
lol adoo's not smart enough to interpret most of the things he wrote down. the funniest one was the "lowest unemployment in 15 months". Uh, sorry, but a 9.4% unemployment rate is most certainly not the lowest it's been in 15 months. Obama hasn't accomplished jack crap
Please see cash for clunkers as what it really is: the government is PAYING people to borrow money. Obama and his band of idiots didn't learn a damn thing from the leverage crisis that caused homeowners to default on their mortgages. stupid.
The bitterness, it stings. While we are at it, care to attack the other points? I noticed that not even Jorge touched the confirmation of Sotomayer, even though he somehow managed to warp the killing of a major Taliban leader and the rescue of two American hostages into negatives.
