... without an Hakeem Olajuwon in the middle, are strongest post scorer(Mo T) content on shooting the 15 footer, our air apparent(cato) not so apparent, and the majority of our scoring coming from the guard spots ... not to mention the new zone rule ... I suggest a line up of quick hitters. Lets face it there is no real FA center on the market this year or next worth tieing up the salary cap on ... so lets not waste our time. Afraid of the Shaq matchup, well there will not be anyone able to check Shaq man up for quite some time ... so lets not play second fiddle. Lets make Shaq match up with our team not vice versa. We've all been looking at these 6'10" 2nd & 3rd tier centers, with no real value except for being 6'10", well we have a guy who is about 6'10" or 11" that has a good release from all over and can put the ball on the floor and make a Shaq look like he has cement shoes on. Langhi has not the frame to guard a Shaq or any true center ... but any true center could not guard a quicker Langhi either. With the zone rules you can play a shorter heavier 4man behind Shaq or another center in the post, run Langhi over to deny the entry pass or double front side ... he is long and they've been saying athletic since he was drafted, I say lets find out. Langhi is not a backup 2 nor is he a 5 ... but in a time when you have no center, don't put a guy with lesser skill just because he is labeled a center. I don't feel Eddie is a 3 either, but with mo content with the mid range j, there will be room to post Eddie, spread the floor with Langhi opening it for CAT or Steve and Shandon. For all the post dogging Shandon and WIZ ... I disagree I like these guys and feel they can impact the game greatly when we run and pass the ball on our sets. I would like to see a line up of quick hitters such as (1 spot) Steve and a back up, hopefully Mooch but not at more than 1 -1.5mill. (2 spot) Shandon and CAT, let them earn a starting spot ... even though I like Cat's instant O off the bench, he has proved his worth as a starter also. (3 spot) Wiz and Grif, who ever shows better in preseason and practice should have the oppurtunity to start. (4 spot) Mo and Kenny T, same thing start the guy who shows he wants it more. (5? spot) Langhi, Collier, cato. Bull can fill spots from the 3 to the 5 when offense is desired. Collier, cato can be used to play behind bigger centers while a Langhi or Griff can front side help. I hope to see the combo of Langhi, Taylor, Griffin, Anderson, Francis ... give a solid offensive punch with a deffensive present. Taylor/ Griffin for the first look in the post, kick out to a Langhi or Francis, watch Anderson slice the lane for a dish or put back. Any coments?

Langhi is mainly a shooting threat on the court, not a 1 on 1 player. No way will Langhi make Shaq "look like he has cement shoes on". If Langhi tried to iso against Shaq he would be successful about two out of ten times. Meanwhile, you would have Langhi getting posted up by Shaq who would simply dunk it right over him with ease ten out of ten times. but in a time when you have no center, don't put a guy with lesser skill just because he is labeled a center. So, why do you think Indiana plays guys like Zan Tabak, Bruno Sundov, Jeff Foster and Sam Perkins at center? I mean, they could just go with this lineup: PG: Best SG: Miller SF: Harrington PF: O'neal C: Rose After all Rose has not the frame to guard a Shaq or any true center ... but any true center could not guard a quicker Rose either.
