This was buried in an ESPN article today. If you read it like me, please don't ruin it.

    Question

Barry Bonds has 44 HRs and is hitting .370. Other than Babe Ruth (who did it 5 times), name the only other player to achieve that many HRs and at least that batting average in the same season.

And no, it is not the steroid twins Sammy Sosa or Mark McGuire.

Smeggy has the man...I assume the year is correct.

Why does an Aussie win this.

btw: this was not supposed to be an Internet search trivia thing you dork aussie...just a pure guess or real knowledge thing. If you looked it up...you owe me another beer when you come

here's another one from the article (which I would have guess right but not that first question), this should be easy for baseball and/or Bonds buffs, yet is simply amazing regardless.

If Barry Bonds never reaches base again this year, who are the only two players who have reached base more than him for one season.

btw: Bonds has shattered the BB record already and is set to shatter the OBP record.

right, and Bonds can pass Ted Williams "literarily with his eyes closed"...as the article said. He's like 5 on bases away from Ted's best, but will never reach the Babe.

    Last question,

What is the other record (besides base on balls) that Bonds shattered last year and will again this year that no one but Babe and Teddy come close to.

Probably slugging percentage, on-base percentage, or OPS (On-base Plus Slugging percentage)
