I'd hate to post this here and not have it happen, but Mike's agency is trying to schedule Mike to call me for a story. I told them I'm coming from a Houston Rocket perspective obviously. Any questions (professional questions) you feel are unanswered?
Was the trade kicker the only thing that made him sign for Minny? Dallas has a chamionchip caliber team, Houston could have one too.. I do not believe in that kicker-garnett garbage!
1. How much did the trade really factor, in other words how much was he still hurting? 2. Did he feel Morey was working with CD on this? 3. Did he feel it was JVG who moved him to Toronto and lose any cred with the coach?
Why did you choose money over practicality? or Did Tracy McGrady tell you anything related to the trade?
Is he still upset about being traded? Why did Toronto not make an attempt to re-sign him? What are his predictions for his performance and Minnesota's performance this season?
He seemed to have bashed CD yesterday in an interview with a Minny radio station. Why is there so much bitterness between him and the organization? He said last week this team gave him a chance to play significant minutes, but then he said yesterday the team wouldn't let him "walk the way Mike James wanted". What is his relationship w/JVG? He was at his doorstep, does he hate him too, or just Dawson? Doesn't he realize that you can be the best motorcycle driver in the world, but there are other bad drivers out there who can take your life? What was the beef that he had with Juwan Howard all about? People talk about his relationship with TMac, were there problems, etc. Had he come to Houston, would his ego and narcissism have collided with T-Mac's stardom and power?
If rockets grant you the player option AND trade kicker, but at the same time insert a "stfu clause" in the contract, would you still sign with us?
Ask him if he realized his decision would cause the heads of thousands of Rockets' fans to explode simultaneously. And that is a serious question.
Will his family continue to reside in Houston or will they be moving to the Great White North? In his opinion, which team is closer to getting to the conference finals: Houston or Minny? Why and was that a factor in his decision?
Mike... If you have confidence in your abillity to produce at the level you produced at last season why would you request a "trade kicker"? Nobody is going to trade a guy like that playing on an MLE contract.
face it he never wanted to comeback he just using us to jack up his price tag CD is just a fool that fall for it
Do you honestly believe that the T-Wolves can contend for a championship when they only been to the WCF once in the Kevin Garnett era?
so when you're talking about sex with a cheap prostitute, do you mean good sex, or so-so sex, or just wham-bam let's get this over with sex?
I like these two: Those of you so sure we are going to be better than Minny need to rethink it. James and Foye (my early pick for ROY, he is very polished and ready) might be a world of difficult to handle (and play D), and KG is still one of the best players in the league. They really could need to upgrade their C/back up 4 spots. But Minny could be an excellent defensive team, they will have a very difficult backcourt to defend with their quickness and scoring abilities, and they have some tradable assets to tinker with their roster (Davis, Hassell, Jaric, Griffin, McCants). I thought Minn needed to blow up their team and trade KG for young prospects and picks, I was wrong.
I know the following has nothing to do with the original question from Clutch. But I want to say some about this MJ thing. The fact that MJ has to make explanations and excuses on his decision not to play with Rockets actually tells us that: 1. He actually really wants to play at Houston, but he just can't get his demand fulfilled. 2. He fails to see any logic behind Rocket's management's decision not to give him what he demands, and hence he is so upset with Rockets. You can clearly see he is pissed during his interview on TV. If he is completely neutral about his choices of where he wants to play, he will not be upset, and he will not give reasons of his refusal to play at Houston. MJ doesn't have to be upset and give explanantions. It's just a career choice. It's pure business man... like when a team trades a player, a player can also choose money or stability over anything else, like he did, so he goes to Timberwolves. As simple as that. No need to be upset or give explanations as if to punish or blame the Rocket's management for him not being able to come to Houston.
