Allright guys, have a question. One of my cousins is 13 years old. He lives in a woman dominated family. Basically, he has 2 older sisters and 2 very younger brothers. His dad is dominated by his mama who is my cousin. His two older sisters wear purity rings, they are 16 and 18. They are teaching him all about womens rights and blah. Now, he wants a purity ring. Personally, I've never heard that on a guy before. Never. My wife and his family seem to think its cool and there is nothing wrong with it. To me, its because they are women. Even his dad says he doesn't see any problem with it, but to me thats because he is dominated and its gonna be her way anyway. Since I don't agree it, and I say its "gay", they say I'm insecure about myself. I think its because his surroundings are nothing but women.....What do you guys think? Am I crazy?

Its definitely because of the women, but I don't see as to why it would be a problem. Yes, he is young right now and is being influenced by those around him. However, you just give him time to grow up a little and you will see that he will make intelligent decisions of his own. His family did what they thought was right and steer him in their perspective of the "right direction." There is nothing wrong with that. Certainly isn't "gay."
Cleverly disguised thread. He wants the ring for himself but wants the opinions others to make sure he doesn't look "gay".
I would tell that kid to wear it. That way he won't seem like a threat to the girls, thus easier to meet chicks. Then when he cozies up to the young lass, she won't suspect a thing. And then bam! off comes the ring and on comes the rubber.
What's a "purity ring?" Marilyn Chambers was the Ivory Snow girl and Ivory Snow was "99 & 44/100% pure". Are we talking about the same thing? I really liked Behind the Green Door.
Last week's Cleveland Show was about a Clevland Jr. wanting a purity ring. The consensus on the show was that its not OK for guys to get purity rings.
I think the real problem here is is that you're being labeled as insecure simply because you're disagreeing with them, and are expressing your opinion. That's bull****.
