I know that alot of the Rocket games are either shown in China or are covered by the Chinese media.

What do China's sports announcers and sports writers have to say about the Rockets?

Specifically are the writers in China also questioning some of

    1) Rudy's coaching decisions
    2) why Cat shoots so much
    3) the overall lack of passing by our guards
    4) why Yao doesn't get that many shots

I could list more questions but you get the idea.

    Thanks

Heh...must be better than their coaches.

The Shanghai Sharks were like the champions last year and the year before with Yao. Now Yao left, and they are like terrible. Sounds familiar.

    well, here are some gatherings.

    1. rudy is fine. an average coach will still win the championship
with great players, but a great coach will never win a championship with average players. so rudy is not the one to blame. yao is a step away from great player and francis is half step away. when they are ready, the rockets are ready.

    2. cat is the shooting guard, isn't he? whatelse can a shooting guard do except shooting? the problem is his quality not his quantity. once again, when yao is ready, cat's shots will be reduced.

    3. that's the whole problem. dominant players don't pass that much, but the rockets don't have one now. however, the rockets offensive system seems still not settled yet. so just give them a little more time.

    4. all 3 above explained it already.

please excuse my english when i was trying to rephrase them.

I don't think BubbaMac wanted to know what happened to Shanghai Sharks. Rather he wanted to know what the Chinese media thought of the Yao situation with the Rockets right?

Well I watched the Rox games on Chinese TV on the net. Actually what the Chinese announcers said were not disimilar to the US announcers. They thought Rox played too much 1-on-1.

As for sports writers (most I read are comments from Sina), most of them thought Yao still has a lot to learn and is not quite ready to be a "star".
