    Ok..Ok

I like Mcgrady for the overall player he is. I idolize his game, but you guys are right this season he completely sucked. :(

    My question is:

If tmac does his rehab (however way he wants) and comes back at least 85% legitamately healthy (Not maybe, but actually that healthy) by midpoint next season, would you still advocate to trade him?

Sorry Clutch for posting this here, but I played with the trade machine for a while and figure only one other team is in the same situation as us with an injured former allstar. Here is my trade proposal IF you guys decide to vote yes trade him.

    Phildelphia Sends:
    Elton Brand
    Thaddeus Young
    Reggie Evans

    Rockets send:
    Tracy Mcgrady
    Carl Landry
    Joey Dorsey
    2nd round pick

It is an awful trade at some views and good from others...more awful, but that is literally the best we could hope for.

If thats the best we can do, why not just let him expire? That'd be 23 mil off the books for 2010

If we can lock Ron with a 3-4 year deal in the offseason, I think we'd be best off letting him expire. He is on the decline faster than the stock market these days, and the possibilities are endless in 2010 with 23 million coming off the books from ONE player. No, we won't land LeBron or D-Wade, but there are many, many other quality Free Agents that summer.

It really depends on what he's still capable of doing on his knee. If he can still create, or perhaps improve his outside shooting, he can be one of our closing players in the 4th. I don't think he'll lose his passing ability and general playmaking ability, so I think you give him a try. If it doesn't work, then you move him or let his contract run out for the money. I mean it's a pretty low risk situation for the organization seems like.

why would you want to take in elton brand, with the good showing of scola lately. What could Brand adds to the team?

Its still better to just let his contract runs and we go on from there. If his rehab took the whole season, it just might be the perfect excuse for rox to resign him dirt cheap, hence a huge cap space for the 2010 offseason.

If he came back earlier and played well, he be worth much more than a 30+ yr old PF that is recovering from a major injury.

Elton Brand? and people complain about McGrady injuries? Brand must be related to T-mac because they both go down for half seasons.

He is an expiring contract to me, let him expire and that´s it, there is no reason in talking about an expiring contract.

To me he is Rafael LaFrentz in a Houston uniform.

If we are offered a good player, with a good contract plus expirings, i would think about it, but i am quite sure that no team will give a quiality player worth 6 millions plus 16 millions in expirings for T-Mac, most likely we´ll have to accept also one or two bad contracts.

IF we want, we can get a Carter type player with TMac's expiring contract .
