Well my mother has always wanted a "Lassie" type dog, Collies, but due to her chronic allergies it wasn't happening but after years of treating her allergies she feels good enough now to try and raise a puppy. I was wondering if anyone knew a good dog breeder or an establishment that does pet adoptions where I could get a healthy Collie for Mother's Day. I don't want to go to just anyone because I've read to many stories about unhealthy pets being given out for adoption and while I wouldn't mind helping out a sick puppy, the time it would require is just not available. I understand they are not cheap but also not incredibly expensive so price shouldn't be to much of an issue and the breeder doesn't have to be in Houston as I am willing to drive a bit or pay for shipping. Any help would be appreciated.
