Did Gundy/T-Mac/Les etc. buy y'all playoff tickets?

A large group starting chants would really do wonders at a playoff game since just about everyone would catch on and participate.

    They just need direction.

    Great question.

I would think they are probably out, but maybe JVG and Tmac stepped up, yet again.

Was wondering same thing, I assumed they'd be in with all that they have (imo) helped the Rockets have a true home court advantage, but who knows, its playoffs and money talks.

yea, they are in, spoke to CLOSE SOURCE, not sure if they are able to tell publicly, at the Hornets game last Saturday and apparently Budweiser bought their tickets for the first 2 rounds. Hopefully I am able to share this with yall, but if not, whoops... :p

From those I've talked to, including a couple of guys in the Rockets, they are in.

Same section? I'm thinking about buying singles in the Rowdies section (all lower-level pairs are gone) for Game #2.

I believe so, that would be weird to have them sit in another section.

I think someone should pass a note to Yao to donate some tix for the RR. Only fair for the leaders of this team to step up and lead by example. :D

If Drayton owned this team it would be called the Budweiser Red Rowdie section or the Red Rowdies presented by Budweiser

I have insider info that they will be there for at least the first two home games.

If you ask me who my source is I will deny it faster than Alberto Gonzalez in front of Congress. ;)

I know these seats are about $30-40 more than the current Red Rowdy seats, but it would be so much nicer to see you all down in 113-114 instead of where you are now.

Good to hear they are keeping the Rowdies thru the playoffs, even though it'd be a bit weird if the Roxs advanced past the 2nd round and the Rowdies just dissapeared

It would be, but even in the home finale, there were people behind them (sec 114, row 24) yelling for them to sit down until my wife talked to them and cooled them down. The higher priced the seats, the more pressure there's going to be to make them sit down. It sucks for the atmosphere, but these are also the people contributing the most (directly)money to the Rockets.

If anything, I suspect their return next year may involve moving further back from the floor. And that sucks.

Trust me, I bought my tix to be right behind them during the season - the Rockets took SERIOUS heat all year from people behind the Rowdies. To their credit, they rode out the complaints and didn't force the section to sit. But it would be exceedingly optimistic to think they won't tweak this arrangement over the summer.

If the Rockets wanted to be pro-active they would sell the tickets behind the Rowdies as a reduced price/add on to the section. This brings up the problem of value of your tickets.

I am not sure what I would do other than find a way to keep the area full but have folks know what kind of section it is.

I don't think they need to reduce the price of the tickets. They just need to let people know that the Rowdies are there. The season ticket holders should have an option to move. Just like some people won't want to sit behind the Rowdies, some will.
