If we resign all of our key FAs, Hakeem, Mooch, Taylor and Bulard. And NO, I dont want anderson back. Any ways let's 'say we sign these guys to reasonable contracts.
For Taylor, I'm thinking $6-8mil a year for 6 years, even though i believe he should get even less than that. Then Hakeem for say $5mil or whatever, Mooch to 2-3 year deal for less than $2-3mil a yr and Bullard to a one year deal at 1mil.
Well any ways, My question to u guys is that what would be the salary cap situation of the Rockets next year considering that Hakeem was signed to a one year deal and Hakeem and Williams will be FAs next year. How much money will the Rockets have to work with in the 2002 FA crop because there are some noticeable players available.

That's a good question. It look like we will sign most of our FA. I think Williams is on his way out, but if we could retain some room for next year....

I know Vince if an FA, but are there any big guys?

Without signing those players we are supposed to be about $12 to 15 mil under the cap.

Raef LaFrentz should be a free agent, and we all know Denver probably won't keep him.

Also, Olowakandi should be ripe for the picking if he continues his poor development under the less-than-capable Clipper regime (I know they're talented, but they cannot develop their big men). I'm sure Kandiman can become a good (not great) center under the tuteledge of Caroll Dawson and Larry Smith.

Olowkandi would be an excellent addition to the Rockets. I only wonder if he would come here. I think so. What do ya'll think about Clarence Weatherspoon, he big for a 3/4 and can shoot the J. Jim Jackson and Marc Jackson are also on mt personal list, but Shandon should sign elsewhere (Atlanta or Chicago maybe) with his salary demands.
