So I'm currently a freshmen attending HCC, taking 15 hours this semester, and 15 the next.

I'm hoping to transfer to LSU after this year and was wondering if anyone has any past experience transferring there or what some of their requirements are.

I'm hoping to be able to maintain at least 3.0+ GPA throughout this year and hope that its enough.

Any tips or advice is highly appreciated.

3.0 is more than enough for LSU. 2.5 is probably fine. You'll most likely need 30hrs under your belt.

Thanks, after this year I'll have 35 hours.

If I were you and my option was LSU, I'd stick to a school in Texas. Why pay out-of-state tuition prices for a school like LSU?

Could be wrong but I think all Texas border states waive out of state tuition for students coming from Texas. In other words Texans are better than life.

Have you contacted the LSU admissions department? They can probably answer your queries.

Unless you mean the London School of Uconomics, I think you'll be fine.

As a poster already stated, Louisiana schools do not charge out of state tuition for Texas residents.

    To the OP:

You should be fine man. Just get the best grades you possibly can this semester. LSU isn't the most selective school around. It's even easier to get in as a transfer. Just make yourself sound well rounded on your application and you should get in for sure. Best of luck dude!
