Why did Francis play JuCo for two years before he went to Maryland. Was he not that good coming out of high school or were his grades not up to snuff to go to division IA? Just curious.
He only started one game in high school because of a broken ankle and some family problems, so the big schools weren't interested in him...
I believe Francis played at San Jac J.C., and Cassell did also. Two pretty good point guards right there. Who in the heck does their recruiting? =)

He didn't play high school ball after his sophomore season. With the death of his mother he dropped out for a year. He played in an AAU tournament in Florida. that's how is was found.
