Travolta's character was actually impaled, right in his midsection by the nuclear weapon.

And he looked really happy about it.

On a related subject why can't John Woo do a good movie in the US?

The train stopped abruptly causing the nuclear missle to fly off the table and nail him in the stomach (which subsequently caused him to fly through the walls of the train).

Can I ask what prompted you to ask this obscure question?

    It was a solid movie.

    Classic line:
Slater: You're out of your mind!
    Travolta: Yeah, ain't it cool!

His death in that movie is one of the more memorable cool death scenes.

oh yea I remember the impaling. Thanks guys.

I write for a Movie Trivia quiz show on public access. This week is bad Travolta movies. I have a block of questions that go through 5 or 6 of his movies and ask contestants how he died in each one.

What other of his bad movies do you have questions for?

Surely you must have Battlefield Earth?
    Face/Off?
    The Experts?

Broken Arrow was semi-descent...it was the first time Travolta took to the screen as a villain so it was interesting to see him in that light. It wasn't a great movie by any means (Howie Long anyone?), but it served it's purpose.

And John Woo has made a good american film; a great one in fact.... Face/Off.
