Can local businesses or companies/organizations have a custom url after they get 25 likes? Because I'm trying to get facebook/steinpcrepair to my url to link to my business page, but the dumb thing directs people to just a blank page of Travis Stein :\. Have I been bamboozled?
You need 100 likes for custom url. (also if it's in use, you cannot use it) I think 300 hundred likes for appearing in all of your your fans newsstream
I see the problem you have. Are you Travis Stein? Because you made a mistake by opening a profile and giving it custom URL of steinpcrepair and now you've made fan page and want to use that name too. You cannot do that. Solution is to delete your profile, wait 2 weeks for Facebook to delete it (do not login on that account in these 2 weeks or you'll reactivate it) and then create custom URL for your fan page. If it still says that the name is in use, you need to contact Facebook support and remind them of Fair Use Policy and they will free that custom URL so you can use it for your fan page. It's kinda complicated, but you should've never made an profile with that custom URL. Sorry for double post.
