Carroll Dawson draft picks have been very questionable. If we would have drafted Rashard Lewis instead of Bryce Drew, we would not have a need for a 3 in this years draft. I truly believe our drafting has a racial tone to it. Why, Bryce Drew (who will not make an NBA roster next year), Jason Collier, Dan Langhi, Tirad Murksan, and this year, we are projected to take Michael Bradley from Villanova with the 13th pick, please cancel my NBA league pass on DirecTV for the upcomming season. Next, if we give dream anymore than $4.5 million exception, we're nuts and are jepoardizing our future. In addition, I agree that we must move CATO immediately, it is a slap in Dream's face to pay him more. However, Dream is totally off base when comparing Webber and Maurice (no boards) Taylor. Dream is looking for chemistry and believes in chemistry. Due to Rudy's system the Rockets have never been a great rebounding team. However Mo's conditioning, rebounding, and blocks shots are pathetic. Bottom line, I would package the 13th and 18th picks to move up and draft Shane Battier OR I would package Cato, Walt Williams, Maurice Taylor, and our 13th and 18th Pick to Sacramento for Webber and possibly Doug Christie (who's soon to be a free agent). Sacremento would receive something for Webber and Christie instead of losing them outright. I would use the 22nd pick on a big guy such as Chris Marcus from Western Kentucky who is 7'1" and has great low post moves, rebounds, and blocks shots ------------------

Do you really believe the Rockets picked those players because they were white or because the Rockets thought each player had what the Rockets were looking for? The same year they picked Bryce and Turksan they picked Cat and Dickerson. Why did we trade Price for Franchise? Why did we .... They do the best they can. Sometimes it works sometimes it does not. man532, I am offened and ... How dare you use race as an issue. Last year there was very little to choose from. Considering the talent level and our position the Rocks did quite well. In fact, last year's trade is what has us in such a good place this year (pick #22). The Rocks are predominately African American not white. They only look for the best talent available. Get a clue! This is a business and the business is winning, not making a racially motivated political statement. Maybe you need a little history lesson before you start throwing out the race card! First selection taken by Rudy T that year was Dickerson, a black man. Fourth pick by Rudy T that year was Cuttino Mobley, a black man. Now befor you you go getting on Rudy T for not drafting Rashard just rember that every team in the NBA passed on Rashard in the first round. I like to think that Rudy made up with it by drafting Mobley. Now who has been the better player so far...Mobley. Would you trade Cat for Rashard? I wouldn't. Also why draft highschool kid to play small forward when you just signed one of the fifty gratest players of all time to a long term contract to play that spot? Answer...You don't. The Rockets had Dream, Chuck and Quitten in the front court. Their needs were shooting guard (Dickerson and Cat) and point guard (Drew). Not some small forward out of high school when you are going for the NBA championship! Think about it and leave your race card out of this forum! ------------------
