Isn't it true that if the Rockets don't make the playoffs we get to keep our pick but the grizz have the option on it if we make it?

If this is true, it could be something we look back on two to five years from now and consider a blessing in disguise if we could land Battier, Joe Johnson, or a sleeper big man. Don't get me wrong, I'm super-excited about this season and our playoff push. However, there is bright side to not making it because of the depth of this draft.

This draft could be really a big part of the team's future the way cd and rudy can evaluate talent.

    yes.

A draft pick and then hope to win later.

Or screw the draft build via the FA, and get the playoff juices going? And be one of 16 teams with a chance to win a championship!!

    You decide!!!!

2 bright sides to losing that pick:

    1. Rocks make the playoff
    2. Rocks save 1.5 or so in cap room.

I see us ending up w/ a 20 and 24. What we can get for that, I don't know.
