I'm not going to be able to watch WrestleMania on PPV, and I definitely want to keep up with Hulk and the Rock tonight. Does anybody know if there is a way to listen to WrestleMania over the internet? I know they used to do it, WCW did to, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere on the net, including the WWF's website. Anybody have any info?

    Go Hulkamania! :)

well i don't know the answer but it does suck that i won't be able to watch it. i figure since this is being billed as the match for the greatest ever, they can't let hogan lose but since no one wants to actually see hogan beat the rock straight up they will let hogan cheat and win. basically they can't let either really lose but hogan can't lose (being cheated or not) so hogan has to cheat and win to solve this dilemma. hopefully someone can find a radio link.

Can you guys believe the reaction Hogan got? I mean, the guy tried to murder Rocky and he gets the biggest pop of all time. Anyone think that they had to change the ending on account of the fan's reaction?

    Hulkamania's runnin' wild again, brother.

The crowd was definitely pro-Hogan and anti-Rock.

Well, if you remember, Hogan has history in Toronto. At Wrestlemania XIII (I think thats it), Hogan wrestled Warrior in arguably one of the biggest matches in the history of pro wrestling in the Skydome.

I remember seeing that live on PPV as a kid. That was awesome. I was the only Ultimate Warrior fan and all my friends were rooting for Hogan. I remember they kept pinning eachother but the ref was knocked out. Warrior prevailed in the end.

That was a great match last night IMO.. I didnt bother staying for the "main event" - back and forth signature movies, kicking out of pins.. I love wrestling again :)

He did to WCW a couple of years ago and boy he was awful. It even lead up to Hogan retiring after the 2 squared off at Halloween Havoc in '98. Of course, he lied and came back 3 months later.

As for the match last night at WM, that was just great. Loved it when people where cheering for both men and even gave Rock some heat. It ended the way it should have, no interference. I was kinda surprised that Hogan did indeed give Rock the clean win. Its been awhile since I have seen him give anybody a clean win to anybody. I guess Vince McMahon was smart enough to not give him creative control. :D

I didn't realize Warrior was on the scene that early. I mean wrestlemania IV was when they had the tournament to determine the champion and it sure didn't seem like warrior was there that quick. of course I only have seen early wrestlemania's on tape so it's not like I have the timeline down perfectly.

anyway, read the recap of the hogan/rock fight and it sounded awesome. hogan apparently did 2 rock bottom's and the leg drop, and rock finished it with the people's elbow. the fact they shook hands afterward and rock came back and helped hogan fight off hall and nash was really cool. and hogan getting huge applause from the crowd was also good to hear.

on another note, with his win last night, undertaker now has a perfect 10-0 record at wrestlemania.

I was there at Skydome last night, and damn was the Atmosphere awesome.

Hogan-Rock's match may not have been great in terms of pure-wrestling, but all the drama and excitement made it, IMHO, legendary.

Myself, I was torn between who to cheer, so like others in my section, I cheered them both on at first when the support was 50/50 for each icon. But the nostalgia and visions of Hulkamania were just too strong for the 68,000 on hand, and by the end of the match it was probably 75/25 Hogan. Apparently it seemed even more in favour of Hogan on Pay-Per-View simply because the younger Rock fans were being drowned away by the Hogan backers. I knew well before the show started that Hogan would have a lot of support, just by walking the streets and hearing all the chants of "Hogan Hogan". Man, I don't ever remember screaming so loud; My voice is gone today!

The rest of the show was not bad, but the lack of any gimmick fights (ie. old-school wrestlers coming back), the usual celebrities or anything extraordinary almost made it seem like any other Pay-Per-View. And man was the HHH-Jericho match anti-climactic or what?! If it werent for the Hogan-Rock match, I would be disappointed walking out.

As for the Ultimate Warrior, he was the man!! No other wrestler got me pumped like he did and I would be estatic if he would come back. Anyone know where he is and what he's doing, I head somewhere without any validity he passed away? Btw, he wrestled Hogan at WMX VI in the Skydome in 1990.

Raw is going to be interesting tonight, you guys think Hogan will wear the Yellow and Red?

Azim, wouldn't it have ruled if they played "Real American" when Hogan was posing after the match!??!

    Azim,

not sure about Hogan, my mate and I who watched PPV yesty thought that after the way Rock paid tribute to Hogan, that maybe Hogan will Retire and the disappointing look on Rock face after the match was that he put Hogan into retirement by beating him..... any thoughts, but if he continues then yes red and yellow.

and what about the nWo any chance of a new member joining ..... maybe Taker??????

Oh hell ya that would have just set the stage for the crowd errupting. I still can't believe that the Hogan turning face thing was planned. I mean there's no way Vince and his boys could have predicted such fan-support for Hogan, yet it was perfectly executed. I think they're gonna ease the "Hulkster" gradually back to his role.

    Smeggster,
I was wondering the exact same thing, thinking there's no way they'll close off the NwO story so soon. I heard rumblings that Shawn Michaels would rejoin the Federation in possibly a role with NwO. Undertaker and perhaps Mr. Perfect would be possible members as well, making it something of an "old man's club" of wrestlers.

What do you guys think of this RAW-Smackdown split? It's too early to say, but I think its going to suck. You can't limit Stacy to one show only!

I think the split will be good.

I think the fans have had it with the Rock. His schtick is getting old. Hogan came into the match as the heel. You could sense that JR and Lawler were shocked that the fans were rooting for HOgan. If you watched RAW, the fans booed Rock then as well.

I thought the Rock would turn tonight and become the 3rd memeber of the nwo. I think this will all unfold in the draft next week.
