um, perhaps it has been discussed before and i missed it but i have a few questions about jordan?

during his last year with chicago did he finish a contract or did he walk away during the contract? i ask because i was wondering why he wouldn't be obligated to return to them...

also, anyone hear what jordan would make? what is the salary available to him by the wizards? i'm curious because maybe i'm suspicious but i wouldn't be shocked to learn that somehow jordan is making more than he's supposed to...

sorry if in wrong post but it's been a long 2 weeks....

His contract with the Bulls ran out. I heard on the news that he's expected to make like 1.2-1.5 million this year. Don't have any links on that though.

    Oh... wrong forum too. ;)

Jordan already filled out the paperwork to sell the portion of the team that he owns. Unlike the NHL, an owner can't also be a player in the NBA.

$1.2 to $1.5 million? Wow, talk about underpayed :)

The additional endorsements and ad money that he is negotiating with the NBA would make his annual salary even more ridiculous than it already is.

I'm not so sure that his return is a good idea. The league is starting to redefine itself after the post-Jordan era and the young stars (Shaq, Kobe, Iverson, etc...) are beginning to raise the level of play in the league. The NBA needs to identify with these guys, not an older, slower Jordan (even though he still could probably school about 95% of the league).

The NBA has said they expect to show 20 Wizards games on NBC. That'll be fun.
