When he returns to the lineup, who do you think should start, Glen Rice or James Posey? I think Posey should, he has shown a lot of heart and hustle, not to mention some good rebounding as well. a lot more then Rice produces, thats for sure.

the rockets should start posey and bring rice off the bench because

    1. posey is a better defender, but can't score

    2. rice is a scorer, bring him in when mobley rests. (i don't think why rudy T. always rests yao and francis togther while leaving mobley in. isn't francis the PG and the 2nd best player behind yao? the lakers rarely sits shaq and kobe or the old bulls team jordan and pippen at the same time.)

dONT WORRY. I see Glen remaining PINE RICE for most of the season. I doubt if we will get a full game out of him now or ever.

In my opinion Posey this year has played better than Rice has. Posey's averaging two points a game more than Rice, along with two more rebounds a game, and is nearly an assist better a game. Not to mention Rice's defense leaves much to be desired as does his speed. Posey deserves it.

After typing the above and thinking about it, I'm actually kind of torn. If the Rockets continue playing the way they have the last couple of games, the Rockets do need a player who can consistently hit the three from the outside. Glen Rice is the only consistent three point shooter we have. Not to mention he's the only true veteran this team has.

I like Posey a lot better, but Rice might end up fitting the bill.

no he is the best player.
Yao will come close to francis in a year or so, but francis is the best player on the team

Anyone really expects Rice to get healthy -- and stay healthy?

This is not the point. The point is that for some unknown reasons, Rudy T always rest our best 2 players together. And our offense was usually a mess in that period.

I dont expect Rice to play much more ever. But if he does, at least maybe he will hit some shots.

Posey has mobility and agility, he does all the little things that Rice cant any more. It is beyone imagination how the Rockets never learn from their mistakes with over the hill players...Barkley-Pip-Rice.... all once great but not when they came to the Rox. 9 mil for Rice just does not sit right!
