For those that followed Chase at Arizona, does he have the ballhandling to beat his man off the dribble and become the go to guy?
I know he's young, but from the few games he's played he seems like he has the talent to get by his guy in the late 4th quarter situations. Also, if he does have that ability, I think that makes Brooks that much more effective. Chase driving and kicking to Brooks where he can shoot or dribble penetrate as the defender is closing out.

I was thinking the same thing watching the game. I think Chase could've really made a difference tonight with his athleticism and shooting ability.

    No.

They tried to get him to do it in college, and he was just out of his element.

That's the one "knock" on his game.

He is more of a shot finisher than anything else, like Rip or Glen Rice IMO...

he's probably our best wing at creating his shot. then again our only wings are chase and ariza.

I don't think he can create effectively in a 1-on-1 situation such as isolation. He's good when he catches and quickly makes a move but I doubt he can be at the top of the key, dribbling and creating something out of nothing for himself or others. He's a finisher, just as someone said above.

That is defintiely what they were missing tonight. Some may not think he is great at that, but he is better than anyone else we have. That is why he has been seeing so much time in the 4th quarter.

No he can't. He's better than Rip i think, but not up there with a Ray Allen.

You mean right now he is better then Rip??

I beg to differ. I think on his 3 year he will be legit though.
