Damn, This actually hurts line depth. He was our best looking backup LG, and was beating Ben Jones out handily at the position. Was really hoping he was going to get some playing time so he can become our full time LG net season, seeing how Wade Smith is more than likely done here.

    This really sucks.

Quessenberry was slated to start vs. San Diego if Wade Smith isn't ready. So I wouldn't say "no biggie". Not a HUGE setback (once Wade is back), but not insignificant either.

Cody White, who was inactive all last year, is the other backup guard though I would assume Ben White would see the majority of the snaps if Wade can't go.

Yeah, I dont think missing the main back-up guard (which looks like he was winning that spot) can be brushed off as "no biggie". He was playing pretty well

we have so many whites on this team I get confused which one is backing up at certain positions.
the coaches had high praises for quessenberry. depth is always important. let this be the only injury please.

Damn, that sucks...definitely not a "no biggie" situation. I was already worried about the line, and now, the concern grows.

Since he was put on IR, does that mean he has to be out the entire season?

Ouch, this has me very concerned. I was already worried about the offensive line, I think the Texans need to go out and find someone.

There are different IRs...but Quessenberry will miss the entire season.

Is Ryan Griffin the only rookie to not have been injured/cut?

    Exactly.

Well, to be fair, Montgomery started the season on the PUP list because he showed up out of shape.

Bummer about Quessenberry. He was going to bring his family to the game in San Diego.

I guess the Texans got what was coming to them. This is what happens when you put healthy players on IR, *cough* Bonner *cough* T. Williams. The football gods are getting back at us.

Btw, the Texans signed Nate Menkin to the practice squad today. They released Mike Mohamed to make room.

Every team in the league does that. While it sucks for the players, they do at least get a guaranteed salary when they get "stashed" like that, as opposed to being cut or signed to practice squad.
