Quark/publishing/File extension help

I have old files with extensions:

kqx

app

Are they related to quark? Can they be converted into quark? Are they usuable in quark?

I've never seen a quark file with that extension. try changing the extension to qxd and see if you can open it then.

What version of quark are you using and on what platform?
