She tells 11 News she was illegally videotaped having sex with her boyfriend. And she says she wasn't the first. Inside a southwest Houston business a 19-year-old woman tells 11 News that her rights were violated. "First I just rewinded it and just seen it for a second," she says. "And saw that he recorded me without my consent. And that really messed my head up. Why would he do this to me?" The woman, named Daisy, said her boyfriend secretly taped the two of them having sex. When he left the room she saw a red light and found the camera. "I kept reviewing the tape," she says. "And more I seen it I found out I wasn't the only girl on the tape. There was another one and another." (More) Daisy has consulted with activist Quannel X and an attorney and is considering filing a civil lawsuit. (More) "This is a woman who has been violated, who has done nothing wrong," says Quannel X. "She has allowed her face to be shown because she has the courage and strength to seek justice, which is bigger than any individual done in this case. She is a serious hero to all women." ...Activist Quannel X hopes others involved will step forward soon. He plans to carry out a protest in front of the southwest Houston business Thursday. ******************* FYI: Not against the law to videotape sex in Texas.
If by consent you mean taping, then no it is not a crime. Even if the sex itself is nonconsensual (=rape), you wouldn't get hit w/ a separate charge for secretly taping it...
Yet another recipient of a fine education. Unless he exploited the tape for profit, I don't see what the big deal is.
Funny story: I know these guys in another Texas town that were out one night and were both getting hit on the same gorgeous woman. At the end of the night the woman's husband comes up and says he'd like them to sleep w/ his wife - he would just watch. They agreed, go at it, etc. As they are leaving the couple's house they noticea camera off in a corner. Pointed at the bed. Red light on. The perils of swordfighting...
If you are from Houston and you read the quotes carefully by the individual making the report it should come to you fairly quick.
Sorry, I'm from Houston and from what is posted at the beginning of this thread..I still don't see why Quannel X has to do with it.. He normally jumps in on race issues...were the boyfriend and girlfriend of different races or something? Maybe Im being dense...would you enlighten me?
LMAO! Seriously, it wasn't me. I would have an issue swordfighting to begin with, not to mention going to some strange guys house to tag his wife while he watches... I asked them if they tried to get the tape or anything - they said they were too wasted/freaked out by that point to do anything but leave.
So can the sex tape guy sue her for stealing his tape and releasing it to the media (and claiming he's done something criminal when he has not)?
