I'm trying to get this started this year.

QB-1 every Monday Night Football game.

Trying to see who might be interested.

Rules: Has to be close in near downtown or the Galleria.
This is for fun only, but I see nothing wrong with putting in a pool of money: winner takes all.

    Anyone interested this year?

I may be down. Not sure which BW3 I'm going to go to though.

A buddy of mine was suggesting Big Woodrows on Chimney Rock/Fondren. You and your buds can go with us anytime.

I was thinking that there may be enough interest on this board to put together our own event.

    So far, no good.

Never been. Next week would be better for me. I'm a huge Packers' fan and when my team plays on MNF, that normally equates to me having a bad QB1 game. I get too frustrated or into the game and I end up missing some of the plays. I think I'm gonna head to Nick's.

Let's do it next week, though. Will be my last one here in Houston, probably.

Where you taking off to? We'll set it up for next Monday night. If Big Woodrow's has a good crowd, maybe there. Otherwise, you prefer BW3's in Midtown, or The Village?

Probably moving to Florida for several months. The fiancee's dad and uncle are in the catastrophic claims adjusting biz and Florida's the place to be. I'll be making some mad cash...enough to be completely out of personal debt and to have a down payment saved up for a house by the wedding date. Not to mention what I can write off by working down there. Plus, this sweet gig with Major probably won't last forever, so I'll have my new career in the family biz. :)

I say it'll be my last, but when I start coming home every other weekend, I could make it a Saturday-Monday thing, leave Tuesday morning.

FFB, lemme know what the crowd looks like tonight. BW3 is my Sunday spot, so a little shakeup on Monday wouldn't be a bad thing.

I see, said the blind man. Sounds like a good deal, and yes, Florida is the place to be for that business, no doubt!

Catastrophic claims adjusting? Jebus, you're going to be a busy man.

Well, luckily, I won't be doing that right off. I'll just be taking their work and putting them together in packages to e-mail off to the necessary people. It'd be about 4-5 hours of work a day and I'd use the rest on my Swirve.com stuff, giving me about a 10 hour day. Plus, my college best friend lives in W. Palm Beach, so it'll be fun to hang out with him for a few months! Not to mention bamaslammer. :)

However, once I actually start doing what they do, I will be busy. My future father in-law was telling me about how they'd work from sun-up to 11:00 at night, nine months straight. A lot of work, but a lot of money.

Update on Big Woodrows. Man, I am fairly rusty, and Carolina was a nightmare to predict in the first half, but I did fairly well. 2nd place out of 10 players.

Woodrows was an OK place to do it. Especially because I'm trying to garner more folks into doing it. They've got 20 boxes.

My largest problem was when I went in I asked if there were any specials. The waitress hands me a flyer on the table that says $2.50 wells, $3.00 frozens, and $3.50 calls. I ask for a well drink. I have a few during the game, all on a tab.

When we get our tab at the end of the night, they are charging me $4.25 per drink. Turns out the flyer the idiot waitress gave me were happy hour prices which ended 1 freaking hour before I arrived. That kind of ticky-tack B.S. really pisses me off.

I actually ended up playing at BW3 last night. Last second decision and I wasn't around a computer to let you know. I finished 2nd out of 6 (at the end...there were about 10 players playing most of the game), and I had the same problem with Carolina. Did well with Green Bay though. Plus, BW3 had a squares game and I ended up winning a free beer and t-shirt. Some lucky patron won a freakin' pool stick.

FFB, where you having a lot of ENTRY TOO LATEs? Normally, I'm able to change a call based on the formation, but I was having a hard time getting them in on time last night.

No, but I rarely change my play. On the few that I did, I kinda expected it to be too late.

I'm going to fish around this week and see if any bars offer prizes for this. Seabrook beach club used to, but that's too far. Nick's Place used to, but you're dealing with uber-geniuses over there.

I'm guessing QB-1 is similar to the thing that they use on ABC.com for MNF?

Pick a player (position) pick the distance of the play (0, 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, 20+. Am I right?
