I saw a glimpse of him last night, and 'Q' does indeed look like the real deal. He not only has the ability to slash to the basket and nail the jumper, but he can also post up more than effectively, and plays strong D. With the '00/'01 rookie class looking very ordinary, I think Richardson has a good chance to take ROY; he will be a runner-up at worst if he doesn't get injured. probably Mark Jackson, he went 18th. He was part of the class of 87 which had Pippen, Ho Grant, Reggie Miller, Kenny Smith, and Kevin Johnson. David Robinson was drafted that year but entered the league 2 years later.
what about our man Jason collier. right now i would place him in the top 10. he was playing effectively before becoming injured. I was impressed with his hustle play.
for the rookie of the year. He's a fantastic perimeter player, who is capable of going off for 20 every so often if he gets the opportunity. The kid is a young guard who's willing to work hard and can live without getting many shots. I never would have drafted him, but he looks like the real deal. Q has played his way into the starting line-up, is showing a fine touch, and has been hitting the boards to boot. I'm pegging him for the rookie of the year after seeing him play the other day.
