Jeffster thought he would be a smarty pants(lol) and give me some grief over my use of the term "pwn" in a Rockets chat when I said "Yao got pwned" on a play during the Spurs game. He went into a rant about how "pwn" isn't a word and how Yao wasn't the victim of a "pwnage"(cough...bs). Yao tends to get pwned quite often on various plays especially when he plays soft so that point is not debatable . Of course, he's not the only one but he is the most picked on because of his size and what we expect from him as far as defense. Here is a history lesson on the term "pwn" that I came across on the Internet. It's kind of funny. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pwn3d
Well, LeRoy420 lost... he agreed to let me write HIS signature with something about the game... I know the "O-SA-MA" thing is sensitive... but I need some ideas... see the Mex v USA World Cup QUalifying thread... for more info...
I always read it is "pawn" because, to me, a type where you leave out a letter is more common than typing the 'p' key instead of 'o'. But personally, I think all the internet popular lingo is pretty ridiculous.
Can we all please keep in mind that we are trying to be good roll models for the children. OMFG WTFux0r I r teh pwn4g3 ur b0x0rz. With a little help, young Timmy will not have to frantically search the internet trying to dechiper what his best friend just IMed to him after he was beat severly on a computer game. He can simply ask his big brothers on the BBS who will respond "Why Timmy, Chad has just exclaimed that he has owned you to such a severe degree that he is now in possession of your undergarments." Then Timmy will also be given help in constructing a proper response to his boastful friend. something along the lines of "WTF EVA, UR MOM R T3H UB3R GH3YZ" This is all for the kids, with a little patience we can make the internet a happier place.
