... well, not your money... But lets at least stake out our positions right here so that nobody can squirm out of it later. What exactly do you expect from Jason Collier? What exactly would you be satisfied with? I'm expecting (I really hate saying that) that hakeem will not play the entire year. There will be a time, then, that Jason Collier will get significant PT. What will he do with it? My requirements: If he becomes the 2nd string center, Collier will average 5 pts and 3 boards per game. He needs to shoot at least 33% from beyond the line. Now, if Collier manages to score 7pts, 4 boards, and 37% from behind the 3pt line... I will personally apologize for my hubris in suggesting that his selection was a huge mistake. I will admit that I was mistaken in my judgement, and will try to give Rudy more trust in the future (not absolute trust, but at least more latitude before I judge). If he doesn't get this playing time, then my offer can't work out (impossible to know). Is anyone else willing to stake out a similar position? ------------------ Shandon Anderson rocks. I think a $3 dollar bill would be perfect for this thread! ------------------ Life at work is like a tree full of monkeys, all on different limbs at different levels. Some monkeys are climbing up, some down. The monkeys on top look down and see a tree full of smiling faces...the monkeys on the bottom look up and see nothing but a$$holes!!!!
Let's just pray that Collier gets hurt. OK, not really hurt, but that at least Rudy will keep him on the IR all season long. ------------------
haven; I don't think Collier will take many 3's. He shoots more from 18-20 because that's where he gets himself too. So maybe you should be expecting a FG% of 42-44? ------------------
The more I watch collier, the more I like him. It's not that he's playing well but I see glimpses of potential and effort. That being said in 3 years: a reserve center at 6 pts, 4 rebs and 47% from the field. Basically chris dudley. ------------------ "Isn't the purpose of the game to put the ball in the basket?"
Jason should have a better career FT % than Chris does. Mango ------------------ Test Your NBA Trade Ideas 1. Put new topics in the proper forum. Things happening in the rest of the NBA 2. Dudley and Collier are so opposite it's not even funny. One defensive-minded center with no offense, no shooting, etc... one versatile center who can shoot, has good post moves, can rebound, etc. Not even close. ------------------ President of the Jason Collier police! Cat, i'm on your side. I meant dudlesque as far as being a carrer role player on a contending team. ------------------ "Isn't the purpose of the game to put the ball in the basket?"
Oh I see. I thought you were referring to them as having similar styles in terms of their play. ------------------ President of the Jason Collier police! Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net ClutchTown.com
