If you could choose a lineup for a team out of all the player in the NBA whom would you choose. Take into account that they would need to mesh well together. Here is mine PG- Andre Miller - very unselfish and a great playmaker SG- Ray Allen - Great outside shooter, perfect fit SF- Kevin Garnett - top defender and a team player PF- Ben Wallace - top defender in teh league C- Shaquille O'Neal
PG-Kidd - unselfish, makes everyone better, plays D, very smart....MVP SG-TMAC- can score and create, best guard along with kobe SF-KG- unselfish and plays D too, can score anytime and plays with intensity PF-Ben Wallace- best rebounder and defensive player of year C- Shaq- dominates, need a presence in the middle This team would not only be tops defensively, but could put up points and put em up in a hurry. They would run with kidd running point and could run a half-court game with shaq in the middle, wallace controlling the glass, kg can do anything, tmac too.....cant beat that lineup!
you should add the caveat that the team must feasibly fit under the salary cap.... just to make it interesting
Starting 5 PG: Jason Williams-Great Passer(can find the seam for anyone) SG:Reggie Miller-Great shooter that will get the ball a lot with my Pg's productivity SFirk Nowitzki- Add's size to my team, as well as another scoring option. It doesnt hurt having him shoot the three either. PF Tim Duncan- All defensive team a few times in his career. (doesn't hurt to have another scorer) C: Hard Decision but i'll go beyond Shaq and Choose Desagna Diop. (He hasn't proven himself yet) but he could with the players I have on this team. They'll help his moral and his game will be built upon.
my team wud be 1. Pippen 2.pippen 3.pippen 4.pippen 5.Pippen yeah write that was for you J and P ha ha this is my real team 1. jason kidd- the tru MVP this year 2. Tracy Mgrady-explosive 3. Kevin Garnett- Too Quick 4. Tim Duncan- A monster 5. Shaq- Unstoppable
1-Steve 2-Kobe 3-TMac 4-Dirk 5-Duncan Maybe not the best, but definitely the most exciting team (replace Tmac with KG and thats my starting western allstars next year)
pg: Kidd sg: Allen sf: Garnett pf: Ben Wallace c: Duncan - key players: 1. Duncan 2. Allen 3. Garnett offense: inside pace: fast press: always trap: often
based on 2001-2002 salaries: Shaquille O'Neal $21,428,572 Tim Duncan $10,865,250 Bonzi Wells $2,028,240 Ron Artest $1,241,760 Jason Kidd $8,440,000 remaining $10-12 mill would consist a 7 man bench
I will try and make this as reasonable as I possibly can... PG-Steve Francis SG-Quentin Richardson SF-Eddie Griffin PF-Tim Duncan C-Marcus Camby Talk about shotblocking in the post!
PG - Jason Kidd SG - Brent Barry SF - Tracy McGrady PF - Elton Brand C - Tim Duncan With three max players and about another $7m in Barry and Brand, that leaves just a little wiggle room under the cap, mainly for low salaried players. A more cost-effective lineup could be... PG - A. Miller SG - Barry SF - McGrady PF - Brand C - J. O'Neal That lineup would be nearly as effective with several additional million in cap space freed up.
Mark Jackson- this is my cheap guy. He's not great at much, but he can see the floor like few PGs can, and he provides great veteran leadership. When Bird coached the Pacers, he said he would quit if Jackson was traded. Doug Christie- hard to pass up Christie's defense. Without him, the Kings are screwed. Dirk Nowitzki- Most of the scoring would fall on him, and that's okay... he's perfectly capable of carrying an offense. Ben Wallace- Umm... everything but scoring. Vlade Divacs- One of the most versatile centers in the league, and the best passer at center now that Big Arvydas is gone. I like this team because the offense can flow a number of different ways. Jackson can have the ball and look for a good pass, Vlade can post up and pass or shoot, and Dirk can hold the ball and... well... not pass it, but he can score anyway. Christie will hang around the 3-point line and knock down the occaisonal jumper, while Wallace will remain under the boards at all times. The fact that neither Jackson nor Dirk can play defense is supplemented by Christie and Wallace.
Hmm... good thread. To make it cost effective and fit under the cap, here's what I came up with: C: Vlade Divac PF: Tim Duncan SF: Shane Battier SG: Paul Pierce PG: Bobby Jackson More than two definitive stars gets murky, and will have players fighting for the ball. Duncan is the MVP of the league, and Pierce is one of the top perimeter players in the league. They compliment each other very well, as Pierce has a better three point stroke than other high scoring two guards. (he'll get open looks off of Duncan double teams) I like Divac inside because he's a huge presence who can rebound, defend, pass, and shoot out to 18 feet. He's not a star, but he's a multi-talented threat who makes the players around him better and can play defense. Battier is much the same way. He doesn't command the ball, but he can defend the elite players at both SG and SF, gives 110% every game, and has a consistent outside shot to capitalize on the double teams. Jackson is a good defender for a point guard, takes good control of the ball, exhibits leadership, and is fearless. He's not afraid to take it into the lane and into seven footers if the rest of his team is struggling. Furthermore, everyone on this team can be called a winner. There's no Chris Webber or Scottie Pippen to not want the ball in the pressure moments. Everyone is capable of stepping up and winning a crucial game in the fourth quarter. Plus, since there are only two max players, you have money for a decent bench.
1. Steve Nash 2. Steve Smith 3. Predrag Stojakovic 4. Antonie Walker 5. Wang Zhizhi All 5 with exceptional 3-point range.
We would'nt go far but we'd sell alot of Merchandise... Iverson T-Mac D. Miles Carter Franchise no set positions just run around and cause trouble Coach - Charles B.
