why not? the nba might look into it, but he's got to be in decent enough shape to pull a workout, i've seen him at almost every game.

    Doesn't mean a thing.

And I believe the suspension is next season.

The suspension is to be served when he is healthy enough to return. He is not ready to come off the injured reserve (or "inelligible" as the league changed it to a couple of weeks ago). There is NO WAY the league would allow the Rockets to bring Mo Taylor back to serve his suspension while he was still injured. They won't get off that easy.

If Taylor was honestly ready to play, that would be one thing. But, he isn't and the Rockets would likely get fined pretty heavily if they pulled a move like that.

What about bringing him back a little early, when hecould definitely play, but wouldn't be at his most effective?

The last I heard, the Rockets were absolutely committed to keeping him on the bench until he was 100%. They think he could be at 80 percent before the season is over but achilles injuries are some of the worse - his snapped in two. Most times, it takes guys over a full year to fully recover. His recovery is going extremely well but they want him at 100 percent, not 80.

If they brought him back just to serve the suspension, not only would they be risking a fine, they could be jeopardizing his long-term recovery because, to avoid the potential fine, they'd have to play him to prove he was healthy meaning he'd have to be on the floor prior to being 100 percent.

I would be extremely surprised if he returned early. Now, the last I heard was about 3 weeks ago. Maybe plans have changed but it would be a shocker.

I'd rather have him back next season too. His conditioning is what I'm worried about, not the suspension. With Griffin in the line-up, it's really not THAT big a loss.

Conditioning may be the last thing you have to worry about. According to a number of people, Taylor was in incredible condition before he hurt his ankle (which, apparently was a really wierd freak thing where he came down on someone else awkwardly).

Before he hurt that ankle, he had dropped between 25 and 30 pounds of fat and, according to all reports, added a bunch of muscle particularly to his upper body. He was preparing to play multiple positions in the frontcourt and was working his ass off in the weight room.

There is every indication that will continue because he has been a glutton for rehab.

The details on MoT's incredible shape before the injurywas very interesting. Probably heard about KT and viceversa. The competition between them might be what motivated them both. Seems like more thatn coincidence that they both were trying to come in after working out so much harder than usual.

MoT by all accounts was doing it all before on talent and never had any serious competition for p/t before. Now we have Griffin, too. If everyone can keep a good attitude it could work out well due to their versatility with as the KT, MoT, Griffin frontline will play at times.

Sounds like MoT was getting the last of the Clipper dust out of his system then - more reason to look forward to the quintuple-E offense:

    Eddie
    MoT
    KT
    Mobley
    Stevie

    :D :D

They're backed up, of course, by Moochie and Langhi :D

I apologize for the poor attempt at humor, but it had to be said. Hearing things like our team members wanting to be fit and kick A** does get me excited about next year though. I hope we can finish on a nice winning streak and keep everyone motivated for next year.

That's great top hear. But since he can't do much running, then won't any added bulk(muscle) affect his stamina, speed, and risk further injury?

I honestly think it would be unfair to KT, and stupid for us, if he wasn't traded this summer. KT and our 2 picks on draft day may land us top 3.

I hope Mo can play for stretches at the 5. He should be able to do it; 't'would be a dangerous team offensively. Defensively? Hmn. Guess we'll have to build in the Dallas mold.

If we got the #3 pick, Sane, and Ming and JWilliams are taken first, who would you like to see chosen (assuming you have a choice of all the seniors, non-seniors and high schoolers)?

    And Gutter Snipe, your e-observation deserves a :) -e.:D
