Hello new guy, I am singling you out ok its not like that, but Since you are the quardian of all things draft pick like I would hope that you would contact me. I am currently in the finals. My team has SERIOUS depth. since your team haas been ravaged by last seasons draft I thought you might be interested in trading your wonderfully good pick for a High quality player/players(deffinate starters, especially in the east and on your team) I am willing to offer you players such as Darius Miles(16pts/7bds/2blk) Toni Kukoc(15pts/5bds/5ast) Danny fortson(13pts/11bds/1.5blk) each of these guys did this in 30-32 mins , and got these numbers while fighting for shots/rebs with ALL-STAR teamates. I want zo and your starting pg(as my backup) I would like to offer you danny fortson(played C for me) OR Miles(played SF, can PF of SG) OR Kukoc(played SF, and SG) and Howard Eisley, and Shawn Bradly. also you get my 2 draft picks. This means you get: Fortson+Eisley+Bradley+1st round pick+2nd round pick....OR MIles+Eisley+Bradley+1st round pick+2nd round pick....OR Kukoc+Eisley+Bradley+1st round pick+2nd round pick....OR If this is totally un acceptable to you then I could throw in 2 of my starters(kukoc Miles Fortson) plus Bradley+eisley, Maybe wright, and 1 pick. I am flexable, so contact meMy entire bench is yours for the picking, but the starters are limites as described earlier). I can make you an immediate force in the east. you ask why i offer you all these guys? well I dont think I can become a dynasty, so like BGM i am already re-building. I think you havinf one star and 2 good players(draft) and a bunch of scrubs is not nearly as good as having 6 good players(your 2 picks, my 2 picks and the 3-4 players=6or so) and a few ok players. for you, taking Fortson is your best bet at reaplacing Zos boards, and if started Eisley, he scores well and can get decent assists. also bradley is a decent rebounder, and averaged 3 blocks(led league) hbefore I benched him for fortson. also those picks could land you guys like Donyell Marshall. this is my bench, note the minutes and remember that they will perform better on a weaker team than mine, and against weaker competition(both of which you have) Eisley= 15 minutes, 5.3 pts, 2.3 asst Bradley= 18 minutes, 6 pts, 4 reb, 1.5 blocks Wright= 21 minutes, 7.4 pts, 4.5 reb Trent= 15 minutes, 7.2 pts, 2 reb Buckner= 15 minutes, 4.8 pts, 2 reb Booth= 11 minutes, 2.7 pts, 3.1 reb, 1 block [This message has been edited by The Voice of Reason (edited April 28, 2001).]
VOR, Do you understand that if you trade either fortson or kukoc, you will have to put up either kidd, finley, or mcdyce, maybe even two of these three, depending on if cat lets you put miles in the draft as a starter? ------------------ I am an invisible man.
Miles kukoc and fortson were all starters for me... so yes I know, thanks, because if i hadnt already known that I technically had 6 starters it would have sucked for me to have had to drop an all star peace ------------------ Hanta-Force Paintball www.hanta-force.com
I think you ought to make sure. Cat never said you had six starters. He said that kukoc and fortson will put in the draft. AND in my mind, it is not fair for you to have six players to chose from when everyone else have five. I played charles oakley as a starter for a time but he wasn't my primary starter at that position. If the only requirement for a player to be in the draft is that you played the player as a starter for awhile then I am going to put up oakley instead of davis. But I am sure that is not the case. VOR I am not trying to bust your balls here. Man, your third best player is as good or better than most teams first. Now you want to have an extra player to load your team more it is just not fair. ------------------ I am an invisible man. [This message has been edited by kbm (edited April 29, 2001).]
VOR: Did you check this thread yet? I was kind of hoping for some feedback from you on that deal, if you're not interested just say "BGM, I'm not interested in Malone" and I'll respect that. Right now I'm really annoyed with this league though b/c I feel like I'm talking to myself. I've pretty much offered deal after deal to a lot of people and most of the time they're not even responding. All I ask is for someone to just say they're not interested when they're not interested instead of just not responding. I try to respond to everyone's post that is directed to me. Anyway I'm just assuming you didn't look in that thread so that's why I thought I'd invade yours. Sorry for the rant... Make a deal with the enemy dude. ------------------
Simma down nah sweetcheeks. yues cat already said that was the case. I pretty sure that if you asked Cat if it was ok for you to drop Oakley he would let you. the reason I am allowed to drop any of those 3 is because they are all of nearly equal ability. also i played Miles for nearly 30 games as a starter in the reg season, and he has started the entire playoffs for me. Kukoc started 50 or so games. Oakley is a starter quality player. it depends on how many games he started for you though. if it id like 10, dont hold your breath, but my guys split the season. so My fine Celtics fan what do you say?? interested in talking? ------------------ Hanta-Force Paintball www.hanta-force.com
Im sorry for not responding to the Malone trade thing. Its just that i was already pretty good at the PF position. ------------------ The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?
By the way puedlfor, trade your pick to me. ------------------ The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. BGM, I have been following your trade offers, and I am interested in lafrentz, but I have been apprehensive to make you an offer. I like my team. I have a trio of very good young players in predrag, dirk, and miller that I am not sure I want to break up. BGM I understand your pain. I have been making offers for houston for longer than I can remember with very little response. Maybe we should make a rule that all trade offers should if at all possible be answered. ------------------ I am an invisible man.
That's what I'm talking about kbm. Everyone should reply to everyone. Afterall aren't we all here for the same reason? Increasing our post counts. ------------------
Soory, this took so long, I took a drive. Alonzo Mourning is untouchable unless you're offering a star in return. I prefer having one great player over several good ones. So while I was tempted by your offer, Zo is off the table. However, I am willing to part with the draft pick. VOR, I like your offer, though I want to wait until I get some stats for my player(tomorrow) before I see exactly what I need. Though I will tell you, I expect to get either Fortson or Miles from it. And I wouldn't be averse to giving you Anderson if Eisley or Booth were sent back in return. Nomar - Make me an offer, you have to bet out VOR, cause he's offering some good stuff. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! Fortson and Eisley are yours as is Booth if you want them all. That should give you a damn good C (the 2nd best in the east-mutumbo-) and a solid starting PG in Eisley. plus booth who would probably be a 6 man if you draft well. let me know in more detail exactly what you were thinking as far as the different scenerios i offered you. I looked at your roster in the roster thread, and I have some intrest in your PG. So if I got Zo and Anderson for Fortson Eisley, Booth, and my picks. Is this what you want? how would I have to alter this to make it more to your liking? I await your responce tomorrow [This message has been edited by The Voice of Reason (edited April 29, 2001).]
He just said Mourning was off the block unless a really good offer came along. Hey puedlfor- im willing to pony up Shareef Abdur-Rahim. Young 20/10 stud. Talk to me about it. ------------------ The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. VOR, No Zo for that, it ain't worth it to trade Zo unless I get a star low post player as part of the deal. The deal is for Kenny Anderson(17.4 pts, 6.7 ast) and the No. 1 overall pick. And whatever throw-ins that make it work. Now Kenny's stats ups his trade value to me a bit so I'm gonna ask for something in return. My offer goes a little like this - No. 1 overall pick, Kenny Anderson, Tony Battie(9 and 7 in 32 minutes) and Chris Carr(8 pts in 17 minutes) for Darius Miles, Danny Fortson and Howard Eisley. That offer stays on the table for a while so that anyone else can match it if they wish. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! Nomar, Unless you are willing to give me a star low-post player, and SAR doesn't count to me, then the deal is a no-go. In the east, a star 4 or 5 can dominate, thats what I want. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! The Rockets will be NBA champions. I gues it wasnt clear enough. forget everything you read here. I only have intrest in ZO. the rest of your team is not worth me giving up even eisley. I thought this could have worked out for both of us. but some advice for you... dont give up your #1 pick. it is your best chance in getting better. if you are stuck on keeping Zo you will need all the help your picks can afford you. keep your picks, and hold on to all of your so so players, including anderson. you will still be one of the worst in the leagu. so count on next season on being your big year. good luck to you. ------------------ Hanta-Force Paintball www.hanta-force.com
Bah, you didn't think you could get Zo w/o offering McDyess did you? I'm sorry we couldn't come to an agreement, but thats the way it is. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! The Rockets will be NBA champions. Believe.
puedlfor, I'll trade you Antonio Davis and my first round pick (10th overall) and second round pick this year for your first round pick in both the rookie draft and tuesdays draft? ------------------ I am an invisible man. [This message has been edited by kbm (edited April 29, 2001).]
Just a Question... Why does SAR not count? ------------------ The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat.
