Yao Ming is coming from Shanghai to play for Houston Rockets. This November will mark his first NBA season. All indicators point to a potentially big success for him and the Rockets. Rockets and Yao Ming fans around the world are all excited about his arrival in Houston and the upcoming 2003 season. Yao Ming Fan Club is organized as a grass-root association to mobilize the community and the fans to watch and support Yao Ming and the Rockets, to have a good time from one of the best entertainment, and to network among Yao Ming/Rockets/fans. The Fan Club has successfully organized a TV party to watch Yao Ming and the Chinese Basketball Team to play the USA two weeks ago. Yao Ming Fan Club will present a community meeting this Sunday, September 15 at 2:00 pm, in the Multipurpose Room 124 at Chinese Community Center, 5855 Sovereign Drive, Houston, TX 77036. The purpose of this meeting is to 1) Let people know what the Fan Club plans to do in supporting Yao Ming and Rockets. 2) Gather input from the public what the Fan Club should do for future Yao Ming related events.
