http://mr-31238.mr.valuehost.co.uk/assets/Flash/psychic.swf This is neat. Can someone figure out the trick?
Basically, here is the trick: No matter what two digit number you pick, after adding the two digits together and subtracting it from that number, no matter what, the end result will always be a factor of 9 (i.e. your answer will always be either 0, 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81 or 90). If you look at the chart, all the factors of 9 have the same symbol. So when you click on the crystal ball, whatever symbol is next to all those numbers, it will appear.
Since I'm feeling pedantic and bored: If your two digit number is written as "xy", then it's equal to 10x + y. Adding the digits together and then subtracting the total from the original number gives (10x + y) - (x + y), or 9x. So, your answer will be a factor of 9; however, since x < 10, the answer can't be 90 (which, incidentally, doesn't usually have the same symbol as the other factors of 9). Which is all I had to say. Sorry.
