I was wondering if any of ya'll know a good website or if any of ya'll can provide a good walkthrough on how to put an emulator on my PSP?

I would like a NES and SNES emulator if possible, if I can only have 1, I will have to go with NES.

    Please Help!!

The only way to do it is if you have an OS with 1.5 on it...anything after that will not work.

There's this program called eboot loader 7.0 that allows you to play SNES and Game Gear (like you're dying to play Game Gear lol ) games on a 2.0 PSP.

    Here's a quick, general FAQ/Tutorial:
    http://forums.qj.net/showthread.php?t=21355

You should be able to get things working from there, but feel free to ask any additional questions here. I'm not an expert on the homebrew stuff, especially on 2.00 or higher PSP's, but I'll try to help as much as I can.

RC- I'm having some trouble doing it. I've already downgraded to 1.5, downloaded the emulator and put it on the PSP, but I don't know what to do next.

    Which way are you trying?

IIRC, I went the premade route, which was pretty easy. I think all I had to do was extract two folders for each emulator i had (one of them had a $ or % sign I think). I think something like this is what I used:
    http://forums.qj.net/showthread.php?t=2641

It seemed easy IIRC. After that, all I had to do was put the games on my PSP and run the emulator from the PSP menu.

Sorry, but I haven't the stuff in a LONG time. That's why I usually point to tutorials or wait and see if someone else can offer any help. I'm a little busy at the moment, but I might see if I can try this all over again to help solve your problem. No promises though.

Nevermind, some guy posted a video of how to do it step by step, made it a whole lot easier.

Do you know why the SNES emulator is really slow?

When I did it, it wasn't slow. Or at least for the most part, it wasn't, esecially when I used the full 333MHz the PSP has to offer (maybe some games I didn't play were slow?). And that was back when they barely started with the SNES emulators; it should be better by now. Not sure what to tell you.

You wanna up the frame skip and clock speed to 333mhz. Most games run really well with a 2 or 3 frame skip per second. It isn't noticeable at all.

^ Sooner, how do you chance the frame skip and speed?

I'm trying to do it to my friends PSP but she just downloaded version 2.60, is there anyway you can downgrade it back to down 1.5?

The frameskip and the CPU speed should be in the emulator options menu. IIRC, on the emulator I used, the options could be accessed by pushing down (or maybe up…can’t remember what direction) on the "nub". This brings up the option, where you can change the CPU speed, the frameskip, and other things. In fact, now that I think about it, I think you can change the frameskip with the nub as well.

AFAIK, I don't you can downgrade from 2.6 (or anything above 2.0 I believe).

edit: My bad, it was left on the nub for the options menu, not up or down. Up and down messed with the frameskip.

RC- Can you link me to the SNES emulator you use? The one I am using doesn't allow me to look at the options like yours does. Thanks

Last I heard, I think they were 2.0, but that was around the time GTA came out. Some of the newer ones may be higher by now.
