    Just a heads up.
    I'm looking forward to checking out NBA 09 The Inside, and hopefully live will be different.


    Btw,
    anyone know when the NBA 2K9 demo is going to be released?

    Live demo has been out for ages...and pisses me off to no end with it's mandatory crap you have to listen to so you can even play it.

    It's been out on XBL, just got released on PSN today.
    For you guys that have played the demo on XBL, how was it?

    please don't say ANYTHING in this thread about how ****ing great LIVE is and how it will beat 2k, etc ,etc

    I enjoyed the demo. I've said as much in several other threads, but I'm going live this year. I spend as much time going through menus and other presentation items as I do playing the actual basketball portion of the games...and I'm sick of 2K's craptastic menus and music.

    Have you seen the menu's this year?

    check out operationsports.com

    they have videos from the association, etc.

    they improved the **** out of the menus

    Just did...they look pretty good.

    I'll hold off until I play the 2K demo before buying, but at this point I'm still leaning towards Live...

    The 2k demo has been delayed it seems, from what I saw on their forums, their site is getting hammered right now it's impossible to load.

    Just finished playing NBA The Inside 09 Demo.
    Graphics are actually pretty good.
    Gameplay is weird, and wtf is up with the demo only letting me play 1 minute quarter?.
    The demo doesn't give me enough time to actually get the feel for the game.

    I'm about to go download the live demo.

    Live has improved from last year, I admit, the game is pretty good now. Last year it was terrible.

    NBA 09 is interesting, it has some good things going for it, like the TNT presentation, and THE INSIDE mode, but most of everything else is severely lacking. The gameplay is not up to par, graphics are decent but not as good as Live or 2K, and the commentary is abysmal.

    Wow, Live went from absolutely terrible to decent?
    They actually fixed gameplay???
    :eek:

    basically its everything from last year, just fixed.
    I personally think 2k9 will be better and from the gameplay footage I've seen..
    2K and Live have about the same graphics, which is pretty cool.

    The only thing they haven't fixed is the time released shot.

    You can basically hold down the shoot button forever and you will get the same result..

    i dont like that because i feel like its up to the computer if the shot goes in at all.

    unlike 2k where you have to time your jumpshot to have the best possibility of making it.


    Crowd is pretty horrible looking compared to NBA 2K9 and The Inside 09 even has a better crowd.

    Although NBA The Inside improved drastically, it's still lacking and will likely come in 3rd to 2k and live

    As far as the Live demo, its been out for a week on PSN. All you had to do was create a free UK account... anyhow, tweak some sliders and speed it up a bit and you will enjoy it alot


    2k was supposed to hit this week today actually but they pushed it back. Check again next week
