That is a cool idea - and I even had that thought myself. But I can't do a project like that yet, and we can't expect The Cat to do it as he does crazy amount of stuff on this sim thing already. But perhaps we other GMs could cooperate to create a page like this if someone just would be the admin for a site like that. I would be happy to contribute. But for now we are arranging everything in threads at the BBS. You can find stats on draft players in the Draftinfo link in my signature, but you need to check the official draft thread to find out who's picked already. This is a franchise thing - and Cat will add the rookies in the real NBA with a 1 round draft for us based on what the experts says about them. Cat will also change their and everybody elses ranking based on production in the real NBA but we could be in season 4-5 before the real season start. Most of the available players can be found here:Available Players Here It is somewhat a franchise sim. The players ratings go up and down each year but no one retires. Cat however has decided that if a player retires in real life then he will retire him in the sim. Cat also has the ability to adjust ratings. He does this according to real life play. Example: If for some miraculous way Cato starts producing Cat can adjust him in the sim. It also goes the other way. if a player does not produce we can have his stats lowered.Neither situation happens often. As far as the web page I suggested it to Cat at the beginning of the first season but we didn't do anything about it. I think it is a good idea now that we have decided to continue into franchise mode. I have extra space I would be willing to donate for the cause. CK
I can try to create the mini web site (I'm an amateur), but maintaining is another story. If we broke it up into pieces then we could maintain it much better. The stats would be easy if we could get it into excel. How is Cat sucking the stats out of the game? If he's copying them down on paper it would be a lot of work for him, but if he's exporting it then this could be real easy. Maybe one person could maintain each Division (4 people) and the People in the league could monitor the changes. I think I can do one division. Questions: 1) Who will host? I could host I have 300 mb to use and I am only using like 2 for myself. I think cat is writing it down. He is using a playstation and I think he turns it on his tv and copies it straight to the computer. I'm into this and could help out. I have my own web-page and has helped out with others too. I would be willing to create a page for the host to upload for my own team, and too do standings/stats for others too and perhaps even a league info section. I'm an administrator of several EZ-Board forums so if we want an extra board put on that page I would be willing to do that also, but I wouldn't want us to "move" away from this forum - just make that a subforum or so. Saw heaths post after mine so I want to qualify my above post so there is no confusion. I agree that everything official should go thru here but I think we could eliminate all the stats request threads by having someone in chargeof each divisions stats and updating them periodically(we need to decide how often) I like the idea of using an ezboard for trade talk that would eliminate a lot of clutter. If team owners could contribute articles about their own teams success or failure that would be cool.
